I took one outfit picture this week. ONE. It’s been insane, what can I say?
Last week a dear friend passed away after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. My son’s baseball tournament conveniently ended the same day we got the news, so we packed up and drove to my home in Virginia to be at the services and to visit my family. It was a bittersweet weekend.
I didn’t think much about taking outfit pictures, to be honest. I did have my husband snap this one on Sunday morning before church. I wore this navy blue sheath dress both to the funeral and to church on Sunday. I wish you could see the details — it has some really pretty seaming through the waist area, but it doesn’t show in this photo.
I’m not sure I’m loving the combination of accessories I had going on here. I think I need some nude pumps to go with this dress. They are definitely a wardrobe staple that I am lacking. Fortunately I have a birthday coming up! I think I know what I’m adding to my wish list. 🙂

As usual, I’m linking up with:
I’m so sorry about your friend. We know so many people who are battling cancer right now. It’s just terrible.
Thank you. I also know more people than I care to count who are fighting this horrid disease. Praying for a cure.
I just bought nude peep-toe pumps. They hurt my feet, wish I had paid for the more expensive brand I think. But I do love the way they look.
Sorry they hurt your feet! That’s the worst. I need to go shopping and see what’s out there. 🙂
so sorry about your friend. Love your simple dress. My daughter just graduated Philadelphia University,. She loves Philadelphia.
Philly is awesome! Is she going to stick around?
I’m sorry to hear you lost your friend. What a bummer of a week. I’m surprised you managed even one picture. I resorted to Instagram myself. 🙂 I too want some nude pumps! You look fabulous nude pumps or not. Hope your week gets better….

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my auntie to the same thing. It’s brutal. 🙁
