My Daily Looks: What I Wore

Happy hump day, friends! Every other week on Wednesdays, I share my daily outfits from the past few weeks, and it’s that time again!

Our weather is still a bit up and down, so once again, this is a mix of warm and cool weather looks.

Everyday Fall Outfits

My Daily Looks: What I Wore

This first look is what I wore to choir rehearsal two weeks ago. It was a warm day, and I kept it casual with a graphic tee, blue jeans, and my leopard slip-on sneakers. I know you’ve seen this outfit before, but I washed my hair and put on makeup, so it must be documented.

Plus, this tee just went 40% off! So many of you have told me you bought it and loved it, so if you’ve been on the fence, now’s the time to pounce! I will continue to wear mine under a cozy cardigan after the weather turns cold. (I recommend sizing up if in between; I have the medium.)

The next day, I wore another casual look to my morning Bible study. I would wear this outfit once a week if I could — it’s one of my favorites.

If you want another budget-friendly snake print slip-on sneaker option, someone in my JLS Tribe FB group reports that this one is super comfortable — more so than the Steve Maddens I usually link to.

Also, this denim jacket is 25% off, and I never see it on sale. It’s such a great closet staple — soft and stretchy, flattering fit, versatile denim wash, and it runs a little big. If in doubt, size down; mine is a small.

I wore this next outfit to meet my husband and son at the mall to shop for suits on a weekday afternoon. (If you have a man who needs a suit, we highly recommend Suitsupply. The guys working there really know their stuff, and they have a nice selection. Alterations usually only take 3 or 4 days, so it’s perfect if you’re in a time crunch.)

This sweater is really soft and comfortable, and it comes in several other colors as well.

That night, we went to the high school football game to see my daughter perform in the marching band, and I switched into this more casual outfit. It also got warmer through the day, so my sweater wasn’t cutting it anymore.

The next day was Saturday, and I wasn’t feeling my best. #ladyproblems

After spending half the day in bed, my husband convinced me to rally and go to dinner with him and the girls, and I’m glad I did. It was a beautiful evening, and we were able to sit outside. I definitely felt better after getting showered and dressed and going out.

And I wore a very similar outfit to church the next day . . . If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. FYI, this blouse is 40% off with code FALLFEST.

I changed into jeans and a tee for our church picnic that afternoon.

Monday was a “grace day” and I didn’t take a picture. You’re welcome.

I had a photo shoot on Tuesday, and it was like 85 degrees. Afterwards, I wore this outfit to run errands and renew my driver’s license. I’m loving this tank for a dressier everyday look. It’s hard to see, but it has a pretty raw edge trim on the neckline and hem.

After that, summer suddenly turned to fall, and we got a long day of rainy drizzle. We needed it, so I couldn’t be too cranky about it. Plus, I got to pull out one of my fall sweaters!

Also, these loafers are sooo much more comfortable than you might think. I highly recommend if you’re in the market for a pair. They run TTS. I wore this outfit to my morning Bible Study, by the way, and in case you’re wondering, these shoes did hold up well to the rain. It wasn’t pouring, but definitely drizzling, and they didn’t show any signs of it.

The next day was Friday, and I wore this to get my hair cut, and then later on to the mall with my daughter.

Free People tee // AG legging ankle jeans (similar option) // Madden snake print mules // Lucky Brand earrings // Anna Beck pendant

I actually changed shoes for the mall because I got a blister on top of one of my toes from wearing the mules to the mall the week before. They feel comfortable on, but I guess there’s a spot that rubs and over time it can getcha.

Also, I have no clue why I changed necklaces, although I do like the Lagos better with this top since it’s larger and weightier than the Anna Beck pendant.

And then I wore this on Saturday night to volunteer at our high school’s marching band competition (the middle school got to perform too.) I was the only parent not in a school t-shirt so I guess I need to get myself one of those!

Also, this R Minkoff feedbag is from the #NSale and is no longer online, but I did see it in my store, in case you missed it and want one. I love it for ball games and outside events when I want a smaller bag I can wear cross-body.

Vince step hem sweater (sold out) // AG Farrah skinnies (similar with more sizes / similar on sale / budget option) // Veja sneakers (similar for less) // similar R Minkoff crossbody

And then I wore this next outfit to church on Sunday morning and out to brunch after. It needs a little something . . . I just didn’t have quite the right thing.

I’d like to get a statement necklace to wear with it (and other v-neck tops this fall), and I’d have preferred a contrasting shoe as well. I tried my leopard pumps, but I didn’t love them with this.

I was kicking myself for returning the snake print pumps I had. I wasn’t wearing them, and I have sooo much snake print, so I decided to send them back, but I think the python print with the grey tones would look great with this. Anywho . . . It’s still a nice outfit, just a little plain.

Finally, I wore this yesterday to the mall after a photo shoot. These flats are surprisingly comfortable for an under $50 shoe, plus the pattern is fun and different, and they’re very flattering on the foot.

Everlane sweater // DL1961 jeans (budget option) // calf hair d’Orsay flats // Lucky Brand earrings

And that’s a wrap!

  1. I love all of your outfits and wish I had that many variations of looks during the week! I lean a little too much on the casual side. What size is the burgundy floral top you are wearing from Loft in the sale section?

      1. Absolutely love this post- really needed some every day wear ideas, especially those I can dress up for meetings, classes, lunch, etc. Thank you!!!!

  2. I finally buckled and bought the Vince snakeskin slip-ons. LOVE. I’ve worn them every day since they arrived. With size 10 feet, I did think they looked a little long with my skinnies, but decided “so what?”. That’s the size of my feet! These shoes are sooo comfy. Also bought the Free People top with the snaps at the cuffs.I thought it was a little spendy for what it was, but Free People always has great fabrics. It drapes nicely and is perfect for this time of year when you never know what the weather will do. Wore it twice this week as the temps have been up and down here in Delaware. Happy Hump Day!

    1. I am so glad you love them both! I agree that they’re both a little much for what they are, but the quality and details set them apart and make them worth the extra. I’m definitely getting a lot more wear out of the shoes than I ever expected to. I need to wear the top more… maybe now that the weather finally dropped. Did you get the grey?

  3. I loved your shot from the KOP Mall!! Are you enjoying your new iPhone? I’m wondering if I need to upgrade my 6 soon?? And, YES, you need to buy yourself a school top….haha! Thanks for the great inspiration!

  4. You always look so put together, even on your more casual days or when you don’t feel good. I wanted to give you and your readers a heads up—Zulily has AG jeans today at $99.  I just purchased a pair with a 27 inch inseam, which is perfect for me at 5’1”.  I am sure sizes will go quickly!

  5. I love seeing what you wore and to what.. makes me reflect on what I’m wearing, and for what occasion… plus gives me ideas to scroll back too:)
Love the little blouse from the loft.

  6. If you had a scarf with the right color of burgundy in it, that might have made you like the church outfit more. 🙂
As always, thanks for sharing! It always gives me ideas.

  7. Wow! Great try on.. Loved all the looks.. Now I just need a few thousand to go shopping. 😉 The budget friendly option for the shoes, with the indoors tee keeps taking me to the express option jeans… Weird. I love how you think about all the details, necklace, earrings, bracelets. Your very good at pulling it all together! Blessings

  8. You look great in all of your outfits!! I’m a retired stay at home Grandma and im all about comfort. Jeans and tees, that’s my thing. Plus, dress up on Sundays and Date nights. I’ll be 70 next month and am in good health. So I’m all about going out with my family and having a good time. That’s why I love your style. Hope you have a great day!! ….Linda W.

  9. Love the last look at Nordstroms. This look is how I see your style, somewhat classic, a bit of an edge and chic!

  10. Love all the outfits – I would like to know about the navy purse you carry in several of the pics. I am thinking that will be my neutral for the fall and winter. I usually carry one purse every day and only change when I go out at night if I feel it necessary.

  11. I really like seeing what you actually wear, along with outfits from the photo shoots.  We are finally getting a tiny taste of fall weather.  We had just about given up hope.  I hope you had a great day!
