For the past few weeks, I’ve been obsessively refreshing my browser, eagerly waiting for the first real wave of spring collections. This week, it finally feels like retailers are making the turn. While winter is clearly not done with us (hello, Winter Storm Hernando!), the new arrivals are already leaning into spring.

Lighter color palettes, softer textures, and those first easy transitional layers are starting to appear — pieces that feel fresh now and will carry us beautifully into the next season. It’s always one of my favorite retail moments of the year, when cozy winter staples begin sharing space with hints of what’s ahead.
Without further ado, here are the early spring finds catching my attention this week.
Tops & Light Layers

I love the look of this jersey wrap top and pointelle cardigan for transition season. This navy ribbed tank is a great standalone piece that will also layer beautifully under jackets this spring, and this slouchy sweater tee has such a relaxed, modern vibe.
I’m also loving this raglan sleeve henley sweater for those chillier spring days, and this elevated ribbed short sleeve sweater which feels polished yet easy for work wear or casual days.

Jackets & Toppers

This soft Lounge Denim Jacket just came in from Splendid, and it’s the perfect versatile spring topper! I have the Moonstone, and I plan to wear it the way I wore that beige Camp Jacket last spring… over just about everything. (I’m also eyeing their Lounge Denim pants!)
The grey jacket with the elastic hemline is another great little third piece — casual, sporty, and perfect for that in-between weather. I’m also eyeing this soft green utility jacket with the brushed metallic buttons and this collarless trucker jacket.

Pants & Denim

These blush pink barrel pants are really cute on. I also love the look of these ecru wide-leg crops, and the wide-leg utility jeans feel like an easy update that’s still very wearable. If you’re in the mood for a splurge, this FRAME pair is really fun.
And while this technically isn’t pants, it is a bottom — I just ordered this pretty wrap skirt for my upcoming trips.

Spring Shoes & Sandals

These gold strappy flat sandals are actually from last year, but I’m including them because they’re back and fully stocked — and they were one of my most-worn pairs last season. They dress up or down easily and are remarkably comfortable despite having minimal support. I also love this Vince pair with the kitten heel, and the chocolate brown is on sale.
And finally, I found a few pairs of sneakers that are right on trend for the season. The pink Pumas are fun and fashion-forward, while the light neutral Dolce Vita runners are incredibly versatile. I’m also a big fan of these Steve Madden suede and mesh low-tops with the dual laces.

Spring Bags & Accessories

I love this Clare V. Grande Fanny in Oat Multi for its versatility — wear it crossbody, as a bum bag, or over the shoulder. This AllSaints raffia bag leans beautifully into spring and summer with its natural texture, while this chic bucket bag is minimalist elegance at its best. And this gathered shoulder bag is such a fresh, cheerful accent — especially in Serene Blue!
If you’re thinking about upgrading your sunglasses this season, take a look at these chic tortoiseshell frames from FREYRS Eyewear. This is a new-to-me brand, and I’m really impressed with their stylish options under $100.
I’m also eyeing this gorgeous Jenny Bird chain bracelet with the “caterpillar construction”, and this Stella & Dot medallion pendant has quickly become one of my new favorite necklaces.

I’d love to know what caught your eye — any favorites here?

Now that I’ve identified my habit of “aspirational shoe purchases”, I’m trying to be more intentional in my hunt for shoes I actually will wear. Day to day, I seldom wear anything with a heel. I wear ballet flats or strappy flat sandals. But I’ve noticed that the first shoes that catch my eye, they’re always a high heel! Dress pumps, strappy evening heels, espadrille wedges, stilettos, etc. LOL!!!! Ugh, what is wrong with me?!?!? Anyhow from your finds, I like those gold strappy flat sandals, but I do need extended widths, which sadly those do not offer. Will have to hunt for something similar in my size. I love that Loft wrap top and the pointelle cardigan. Struggling with the raffia handbag trend, but may do a woven bag. Thanks for the ideas!
Carolyn I’m the same way. I’m drawn to everything that doesn’t fit my lifestyle. Like higher heels and blazers. Lol.
Terri, oh phew, I am glad I am not alone. And yes, blazers also, drawn to them but they just don’t fit my lifestyle. I have two “just in case”, which is like pretty much never. 😀
Carolyn….. I do the same especially with shoes. lol Also drawn to blazer but rarely wear them.
Same here ladies. I buy shoes, handbags, and jeans that I’ll never ever wear. 😞 I’m getting better by doing a cost per wear analysis at the end of each season to help me curb my purchases. I’ve wasted so much money buying things that do not suit my lifestyle. Ive actually started buying quality timeless clothing, and being very intentional with my purchases. I’m done filling my closet with cheap stuff. The struggle is real.
I like the gray jacket. It’s different from all the tans which look drab on me. The spring collections every where look pretty much the same as last year to me. So much I see looks boho. There’s nothing I like at Loft because it’s all boho. I have rewards and free shipping certificates but there’s nothing I want except I did buy a burgundy belt. I hope it’s because it’s still early in the season. I wish I could send you warm weather. Its been unusually warm as high as 86 last week. I’d prefer more mild like this weekend but so glad no ice and sleet. Both last year and this year in January we got one bad winter storm for 4 days and then it’s gone. Warm weather follows in February. So weird it seems we start spring in February now.
Thanks for the warm vibes on a cold morning! I like the Dolce vita kitten heels. They are sold out in my size. Hoping for a restock since it’s early in the season. I’m a sucker for a third piece, loved all those. I really like the Wit Wisdom utility pants too.
I just got them in and tried them on and they are actually really flattering. The wit and wisdom pants that is.
Love all the new SPRING arrivals!!! I’m looking to ahead to an Easter/ spring break trip to Italy. Any ideas or suggestions to share???
JoLynne, I have the JennyBird Tome earrings in a larger size. Sometimes I wear them backwards with the ball in the front and the hoop coming from the back for a different look. I either saw it or read it somewhere.
That’s a great idea!
I love your Claire V handbag as well as the raffia ones. Handbags are my weakness!
Mine too!
So I had time today and stopped into Loft. I wanted to see the short sleeve green cardigan and the sage jacket in person b4 ordering from here. Glad I did–because both were disappointing. The jacket is very stiff (almost scratchy) and I thought from the picture that it would be soft. The short-sleeve cardigan–is kinda strange–it, also, is not soft but rather stiff and the sleeves I think are little weird looking–not sure what would look best under it–the color was very nice though–they should of just made it a sweater vest!
