Hello, hello! Do you have whiplash yet? I’ve been alternating between outfits we shot in Philly and Scottsdale, and today we’re back to palm trees and mountain scenery.
This look is one I would wear just about anywhere in the springtime — to church, to lunch with friends, for a trip to the mall, or a school event for one of the kids. It’s that versatile.
I found this ruffle neck sweater at J.Crew, and I built the look around it.
I love this shade of pink with both white and blue denim, so I decided to incorporate both into this outfit.
What, you don’t squat down by the pool fully dressed for a picture every day?
Me either, haha! But Jacqueline thought it looked cool. It really does show all the colors and textures of the outfit really well.
This sweater is a great weight for spring, in that you can wear it now and still wear it when the weather warms up.
It comes in a bunch of colors, and of course the pink is the one selling out. I can’t win, I tell ya!
The other colors are nice, too, though. In fact, I also purchased the grey. I think the ruffle detail and chevron texture are so pretty. For size reference, I’m wearing the small.
It has a shorter fit, so it will work well with high rise jeans, although I wore it with my usual mid-rise white skinnies, and it works fine.
While the sweater is beautiful on its own, it also layers nicely under a denim jacket.
I’ve shared these shoes before, and you’ll probably be seeing them a lot this spring.
I love the how the cheetah print adds another element of interest to the look, and they’re very comfortable and easy to wear all day.
My Paige Verdugo ankle skinnies probably need no introduction. They have such a good fit, and the denim is thicker than most.
For size reference, I went up up to a 30, and I typically wear 29 in Paige. Light colored jeans are less forgiving than black and indigo, so I often end up sizing up in white.
My only accessory besides the ring I always wear was my gold double hoop earrings. I felt like there was enough going on with the ruffle neck, the texture of the blouse, the denim jacket, and cheetah print shoes.
Even though the denim jacket has silver hardware, I matched my earrings to the gold hardware on the shoes.
Unfortunately the sweater I’m wearing doesn’t have a lot of sizes left in the pink, but you can easily wear one of the other colors with this look. They’re currently 30% off with code SUNNY.
Or if you like this color combination, try it with a different pink sweater. I rounded up some other options at the end of the post.
sweater // jeans // jacket // shoes // earrings // sunnies

So fresh! I really like the Arizona pics! Great outfit!
Great outfit I love that color pink.. have a great trip:)
Have a fabulous time in Florida and don’t worry a bit about your blog posts being on the “thin” side. The important thing is to enjoy your time with your daughters and parents.
This is the perfect spring outfit. In fact I’m breaking out my white jeans for work today with a sweater since we are still having colder temps. 37 in San Antonio today but it will be 80 on Saturday, got to love Texas weather! Speaking of Texas I thought you were coming to Austin? Did I miss that post? I was so excited because you were going to be only an hour away from where I live. Well now a days it’s more like 2 hrs because the traffic has gotten so busy between the two cities. Enjoy your trip and time with your family.
We are! Next month. Paul and I are going for a weekend getaway. We’ve never been. Any recommendations? We like music and good food and wine, craft beers, whisky tours… haha. You get the idea. Also interested in any touristy things that are worth it.
One of my favorite color combos because pink is one of the best colors for me to wear, and it’s a color I love. I could never stoop down for a photo like you did and I would definitely need help getting up. I hope the flight is uneventful. Sunny FL, here y’all come!
Yup, Sweater is sold out of all sizes through L.
Love this outfit, especially the shoes! Hope you have a wonderful time with your girls and parents. It’s a chilly 55 in SoFlo right now, so it may be cooler up in Orlando. Either way I’m sure it will be nice compared to the chilly temps you’ve had at home. Have fun!
Just ordered the pink sweater! Thanks for showing it. I love the chevron pattern and the ruffle doesn’t seem too much. The whole outfit looks good and I can recreate it from my closet.
Hope you are having safe & smooth travels!
For some reason I did not receive your emails today or yesterday ! I would like to continue receiving them everyday ! Thanks so much
Hey Donna, it says it’s sending to your email. This happens sometimes – maybe check your spam folder or a Promotions folder? It should be there somewhere.
I love this look from head to toe!
Have a great trip and don’t worry about work and having to have long emails. Just enjoy time away with family. LOVE the outfit. You look so pretty in the darker cool colors. Great color of pink. The textures and ruffle on the sweater really make it. I’m looking forward to pulling out my white jeans, but still too cold and we even had some light snow this AM in NW Oregon. Late for us. Love the shoes with this outfit. Really adds to the look.
Great spring outfit I so would wear this
