Spring 2023 Trend to Try: Eyelet

Eyelet is one of the big trends for the 2023 spring/summer season, and I recently picked up this pretty eyelet top from Evereve.

Larisa Eyelet Top (S) // PAIGE denim (29) (option) // Vince wedge slides (8) (option) // Yurman earrings & bracelet (option/option) // similar Kendra Scott necklace // NAGHEDI tote (option)

The feminine eyelet fabric in a bold berry color pairs perfectly with black or white denim, and I styled it both ways for this post.

This blouse has so many pretty details, like the three-quarter blouson sleeves with button cuffs, ruffle collar, and button-up styling. I also appreciate the flattering v-neckline and the versatile 23″ length.

It isn’t lined, and you can definitely see through the eyelet. I should have probably worn a darker beige bra, or you can wear a cami underneath if that makes you feel better. The EBY seamless tank would be perfect for this.

For this first look, I wore my Paige Claudine fray hem kick flare jeans in the washed black. I’ve had these jeans for over a year, now, and they are by far my most-worn pair of black jeans.

I love the off-black wash and the subtle whiskering at the hip. They have a lot of stretch, so they’re very comfortable, but they never lose their shape. (This pair from Gap Factory is a good option for less.)

And these Vince wedges are a new spring/summer favorite. The leather is like butter… soooo comfortable on the foot, and I love that stacked wedged heel. I also found a similar pair for under $100, that even has the same shape heel.

I carried my new NAGHEDI woven tote to add more texture to the outfit, and it also has more of a spring/summer vibe than a leather bag. Then I accessorized with delicate silver jewelry to complete the look.

As we get further into spring, I’ll lighten up this look with white denim. These jeans are a similar style to the black PAIGE pair above, but they’re the MOTHER Hustler.

Both are a high-rise fray-hem ankle-length flare, which I usually pair with a bit of a heel to elongate the leg.

These nude strappy sandals are perfect because they keep the look light on the bottom, but they also have a walkable 2″ heel with pretty flared shape to it. I’m loving all the lower heels this spring!

Here’s a good look at the back of the eyelet blouse. It has a gently curved hemline, which gives some shape to the waist and also a bit of coverage to the rear.

Once again, I accessorized with delicate silver jewelry, and I carried a bag in a color that coordinates with my shoes.

I used to go out of my way to not match my bags to my shoes, but recently I’ve found myself going back to it. I feel like it keeps the look classy and uncomplicated and puts the focus on the hero piece – in this case, this gorgeous blouse!

Not only does this top look great with white and black, it’s also a nice color to pair with dark wash blue jeans, or you could also dress it down with light wash blue denim. I love it when one piece has so many possibilities!

  1. The color of the top is so pretty. Looks great with your dark hair. I ordered those strappy nude sandals from your site the other day. They should be here anyday.

  2. Hi Jolynne! I have this blouse. I bought it when you linked it a while back as an example of Viva Magenta, I think. It is truly gorgeous! I did feel the need for a cami. The eyelet and that the front buttons with elastic loops with no placket behind felt quite exposed to me. I found an orchid silk cami from Fishers Finery on Amazon. I think the color is lovely with the blouse! I don’t know how to link it but it’s pretty easy to search for there! Blessings!! Krista

  3. You are definitely a winter. Only a winter can look that great in the magenta color. I love it especially with the black pants.

I like what you said on Saturday about not always wearing your colors like camel. I’m an autumn and I will wear black and gray. The magenta I don’t think it would suit me though.

  4. Could you plan a T shirt dress post for sometime as a replacement for shorts? I like the one and done and like them with sandals, mules and sneakers. Thanks.

  5. Is your eyelet blouse as vivid as it looks on you? A few reviews said it was a washed out color, which doesn’t look as good on me, thanks
