Spring’s sneaker game is getting a colorful upgrade! If you’ve been sticking to neutral kicks, now’s the time to mix it up—bold, bright sneakers are having a moment. Whether you’re into vibrant neons or playful color-blocked designs, this trend is an easy way to add personality to any outfit.
I’ve been styling this fun green pair with pink and white accents, and I love how they instantly make even the simplest looks feel fresh. Today, I’m sharing a few ways to wear them, plus a roundup of more colorful sneakers worth trying this season. And if you missed my post on 2025 Spring Shoe Trends, be sure to check it out for even more footwear inspo!

The pair I’ve been styling is the Steve Madden Verdict Mesh Sneaker in a fun green, pink, and white combo. With its low-profile silhouette and retro-inspired gum sole, this sneaker feels right on trend while still being easy to wear. The mix of colors adds just the right amount of contrast to make any outfit feel fresh and modern without overpowering the look.

It’s lightweight, breathable, and surprisingly comfortable straight out of the box—no break-in time needed. I also love the slip-on design, which makes it easy to throw on and go. Plus, it comes in a variety of fun colorways. Best of all, it retails for well under $100, making it a budget-friendly way to add a statement sneaker to your wardrobe.

For this first look, I kept it simple with a white tee and white denim for a chic column of white—an effortless base that lets the sneakers take center stage. To tie in the pink accents, I draped a pink and white striped sweater over my shoulders, for a touch of contrast. I love how the green sneakers stand out against the crisp white jeans, making the whole outfit feel fresh and playful.

For this next look, I paired the Caslon Stripe Crewneck Rib Sweater with white shorts for an easy, casual vibe. The same green sneakers with pink and white accents add a fun, sporty twist while keeping the outfit feeling fresh and cohesive. I love the mix of long sleeves with shorts for in-between weather—it’s that perfect balance of covered and breezy that just works, especially on vacation.

The sweater has a slightly textured ribbed knit and a relaxed fit, making it perfect for lightweight layering—and it’s currently on sale! It also comes in other colors if pink isn’t your thing. The white shorts keep things crisp and classic, with a tailored fit that balances out the slouchier feel of the sweater. I wore these a ton while I was in Florida—they’re super comfortable, hold up well, and go with just about everything.

And then, I also wore this sneaker on a rainy day in Florida with wide-leg cropped blue jeans and a white hoodie layered over the same white tee from earlier.

For this look, I kept things simple, letting the sneakers stand out against a classic combo of a white top and blue jeans—an easy outfit you can recreate with pieces from your own closet.
This hoodie is incredibly soft and comfortable, with a boxy fit that hangs just right. I appreciate that it’s not too long, giving it a modern, slightly structured feel without looking oversized. It’s also 50% off right now at Gap Factory!

Bold, colorful sneakers are such a fun way to liven up your spring wardrobe, whether you’re styling them with neutrals or leaning into the color trend. If you’re looking to add a statement sneaker to your closet this season, I’ve rounded up even more bright and playful options below!

I love to wear shorts with a lightweight sweater🩷
I like all the looks. Not ready yet for the colored sneakers. I do however, have a pair of red Merrill ones that I’ve had for long time and barely wore. They are fun to add come 4 th of July. People love them for some reason. Cute style. I might need to bring them out. One time an ump at a baseball game turned around and said to me……”nice sneakers.” lol

I have these and wore them the first time yesterday with jeans. They are comfortable and cute. The green doesn’t scream for attention and the pink is fun.
I love the pink sweater! I remember you posted previously about a different way to lace your sneakers. Can you repost the link? I cannot find it. Thank you
I love the Caslon sweater!!! They have lowered the price so I finally pulled the trigger and ordered it!!
More great pictures! I love my colored sneakers, so knowing that they are going to be on trend for this spring & summer is great.
Great post, Jo-Lynne. At 63, I’m embracing the sneaker/jeans look and 2 years ago you would have never caught me in a pair of sneakers in public unless I was headed for the Y or a walk. I wear them with straight, bootcut and even wide-leg jeans. It’s easy, and comfy, and it keeps me from looking like my grandmothers before me. I have two pairs of suede Golas. I wore the army green w/black stripes non-stop in the fall, but now I’m wearing a pair of bright blue ones. Somehow the muted green feels more fall-like. I plan to add another pair and think I’ll try the ones featured, hoping they’ll be ok on my finicky yaya feet.
Cute sneakers! Do you have a favorite pair of white jeans right now, or are you still on the hunt?
Hello! I finally purchased these and they are comfortable!! I’m so excited to have a colorful fun pair of sneakers for spring and summer!! I’ll be duplicating some of these looks. Twinning in CLE! Lol
