Travel Planning Just Got a Whole Lot Easier with Booking.com!

I love to travel and discover new places, and as the kids get older, that’s getting easier to do. Sometimes I travel with my husband and sometimes with the whole family, but wherever we go, we always try to find fun and interesting places to stay. My favorite spots are hotels or inns with a unique history and a story to tell.

One of the questions I get asked most often when I share about my travels is, How do you find such cool places to stay??? In fact, someone just asked that of my recent trip to Nashville, where we stayed at Noelle, Nashville — a restored 1920s hotel in the heart of Music City.

Introducing Booking.com & Congress Hall

I usually do quite a bit of research and asking around before we travel to a new place, so I was thrilled when I was invited to partner with Booking.com to share about a better way to find unique places to visit, and experience one of my favorite inns in our area — Congress Hall in Cape May, New Jersey.

I’ve stayed at Congress Hall twice before, and I can’t wait to go back and share more with you.

Built 1878 and renovated in 2002, Congress Hall is known as America’s oldest seaside resort. Isn’t this lobby just beckoning you to sit down with a cup of coffee and a good book?

They did an amazing job of keeping the old world charm while adding modern amenities so that guests can enjoy the best of both worlds, and the attention to detail around the resort is remarkable.

One of my favorite unique touches is the room keys inspired by the luggage tags of the early 1900s, when Cape May became a popular summer haven for folks from Philadelphia, New York, and D.C.

While the hotel is elegant, it isn’t stuffy, and you will find as many families staying there as couples.

It doesn’t hurt that the hotel is located right on the beach, PLUS it also has an outdoor pool that you can enjoy if you prefer. If you opt for the beach, they provide private cabanas along with chairs, beach towels, and even toys so it’s as much of a vacation for the adults as it is for the kids.

Just looking at these pictures is making me want to go back right away!

Finding unique places to stay like Congress Hall is easier than ever with Booking.com and their digital technology that connects travelers with the world’s largest selection of incredible places to stay. It doesn’t just include posh hotels, either, although those are definitely my personal preference, ha!

You will find everything from apartments, vacation homes, and family-run B&Bs to 5-star luxury resorts, tree houses, and even igloos at Booking.com. Now it’s taking their inspiration a bit further and helping travelers find and book the best in every state with its epic ‘Book the U.S.’ List.

  1. I will have to add Cape May to our list of places to travel since it’s within my preferred range of driving distances. Definitely going to add Booking.com to my list of places to check next time we are planning a vacation.
