Try-On Haul: Denim, Sweaters, Dresses & Transition Pieces

Happy Friday, friends! I’ve got a new try-on haul for you today. This is a mix of summer and fall styles, so it’s kind of all over the place. It’s also a long one, so let’s dive right in!

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and I usually wear a small in tops, a 28 or 29 in jeans, and a size 8 shoe. Gifted items are indicated by c/o; everything else I purchased myself.

Evereve Transitional Styles

Evereve sent my July selects, and I tried them all on last weekend and shared on my IG story. They’re saved to my Try-Ons highlight, so you can check that out if you want to see them in motion, but I also took pictures to post here.

Evereve Chloe Cable Vest

sweater c/o (S) // jeans c/o (29) // sandals c/o (8) // earrings c/o // necklace c/o

I’m loving the sweater vest trend, and this one is a really nice shade of oatmeal with a cable knit pattern and contrasting stitching at the neck and hem. It runs true to size, or you could size up for a more relaxed fit. I actually think I prefer how it fits on the model.

It’s 22″ long, so I can wear it untucked, but a front tuck would work too. The fabric is 60% cotton, 40% acrylic knit, and it feels soft and comfortable against the skin.

VERDICT: Keeping!

Citizens Of Humanity Isola Cropped Boot

sweater c/o (S) // jeans c/o (29) // sandals c/o (8) // earrings c/o // necklace c/o

I’m loving these crop flares from Citizens! They’re very soft and stretchy and comfortable, a little on the lighter weight side. The medium-dark wash has just a bit of fading on the thighs and whiskering at the hip, so they’re easy to dress up or down.

They actually remind me a lot of the Mother Insider, but with a slightly higher (11 1/4″) rise. They have a 26 1/2″ inseam with a 16 1/2″ leg opening, and the fabric is 93% cotton/6% polyester/1% elastane. They run true to size, or size up if in between; I’m wearing the 29.

VERDICT: Keeping! I’ve already worn them once, and they held up well throughout the day with no bagging out.

Seychelles Jump For Joy Wood Heel

 sandals c/o (8) // jeans c/o (29)

These sandals are perfect for transition season, with the wooden platform heel and suede strap. I struggle a bit walking in clogs, but these are very comfortable and easy to walk in and have that same retro 70’s vibe. They run true to size; I have the 8.

VERDICT: Keeping!

Evereve Arya Floral Mesh Top

top c/o (S) // jeans c/o (29) // sandals c/o (8) // earrings c/o // necklace c/o

I love that there are so many lightweight, summery tops in autumnal colors out right now. You can start wearing them now, and keep wearing them well into the fall season, as long as it stays warm.

This top is especially nice because it can be worn on or off the shoulder. It has a banded waistband, so you can set it where you want it. I also like the length of the sleeves — very appropriate for transition season.

This top is pretty much true to size, but if you have a longer torso, you may want to size up for extra length.

VERDICT: Keeping!

EDWIN Ryder Bootcut Jean

top c/o (S) // jeans c/o (29) // sandals c/o (8)

EDWIN USA is a newer denim brand to me, and so far I like it! They produce their jeans locally and sustainably in Los Angeles, California, and these flares are really good, especially for those who don’t care for a raw hem.

They have a nice, even wash, and they’re thick but soft and stretchy. The fabric is 98% cotton/2% polyurethane, which is the same as the AG Farrah. In fact, most AG denim is this combination, and I’ve always liked it. It’s thick enough to look and feel like traditional denim, but it has just enough stretch to be comfortable.

The fit is good too, they have nicely sized rear pockets with good pocket placement, and they hug the hips and thighs and then flare from knee to hem.

These jeans have an 11″ front rise, which is about as high as I go, but I like how they hold everything in. They have a 33″ inseam with a 20″ leg opening, for a floor-grazing length that gives you legs for days.

The price tag is steep without a sale, but if they fit your budget, they’re really good jeans that should be in style for a few years since these lengths are just starting to come back in vogue.

VERDICT: These were gifted, so I’m definitely keeping them. If I had purchased them myself, I might feel the need to choose between these and the AG Farrah from the #NSale, although these are more versatile because they don’t have as much distressing.

Sundry Squareneck Ruched Dress

dress (2) // sandals c/o (8)

This dress is cute, but it’s quite body-con, so you have to be okay with that. I really like the soft slub fabric, the square neckline, and the washed red color. It has a blouson fit on top with a square neckline, and the skirt has a flattering ruching detail, but I don’t love how close the skirt sits to my legs. I wish it was a little straighter.

There’s a built-in shelf bra, so you don’t have to worry about bra straps showing, but I doubt it would have provided adequate support before my surgery. If you’re larger than a D cup, you may want to pass on this one, or you could wear a strapless bra.

VERDICT: I’ll hold onto it and see if I reach for it. I think it would be cute with a denim jacket on top.

Kiara T-Shirt Dress

dress c/o (M; on sale!) // sandals c/o (8) // earrings c/o // necklace c/o // bracelet c/o

I’ve shared this dress before, but I wanted to mention it again because it’s on sale! Evereve is doing a summer clearance, with savings up to 70%, and this dress is a nice one. The fabric is super soft and comfortable, and it has a banded waist, flattering v-neck, and bra-friendly straps.

It just runs really small, so be sure to size up, if ordering. I have the pink in the medium, but I first tried the olive in the small. You can see here, it was pretty snug, and it wasn’t very comfortable either. I do like this color, though.

VERDICT: I kept the pink in the medium, but I haven’t worn it yet. Maybe this Sunday! It would be perfect for our casual church.

Maeve Cable Tank

tank (M; on sale!) // blue jeans (29) // white jeans (29) // heels c/o (7.5) // flats (8) // wood bracelet c/o (on sale!) // necklace c/o

This is another Evereve piece that I have and love that is part of the summer clearance sale, as is the wood bracelet I’m wearing.

I also needed to size up in this one. I’m wearing the size small above, and below is the medium. As you can see, the medium is a much better fit. I love this tank with both white and blue denim.

VERDICT: Kept it, wore it! I wore the look on the right to a casual dinner out with Paul.

Gap Factory Summer Styles

Since you all seemed to like my post with Gap Factory, I ordered some more Gap Factory styles to try, and a few of them might surprise you! These are also all on sale, and the prices are phenomenal.

Gap Factory ForeverSoft Scoopneck T-Shirt

t-shirt (M) // shorts (28 but need the 29) // sandals (8) // earrings

This tee is really soft and thicker than most, which is nice. It feels like good quality. I like the scoop neckline, and the seam up the back is a nice detail. In my perfect world, the sleeves would be shorter, but I know a lot of ladies appreciate a little more upper arm coverage.

This tee comes in tons of colors, and it’s a nice basic for wearing alone with a pretty necklace, or layering under a jacket or cardigan. It runs small, though. I needed the medium.

VERDICT: Keeping! Like I need another grey tee… haha! But it’s different than my other ones, and I think it will be nice to have.

6″ High Rise Destructed Cheeky Midi Denim Shorts with Washwell

shorts (28 but need the 29) // sandals (8)

I featured these shorts in this post, but in case you missed it, they have a 6″ inseam, and I like the destructed details. These remind me a lot of the AG Becke that I recently purchased. They’re not nearly as soft, but they have a similar look to them for a fraction of the price.

These shorts run TTS, or size up if in between. I’m wearing the 28, but they’re pretty snug in the waist; I’d be more comfortable in the 29. Also, these are only $17.99 right now, and they’re fully stocked in all sizes.

Gap Factory ForeverSoft Tank-Top

tank (S) // shorts (28 but need the 29) // sandals (8) // earrings

This tank is a great find! I love this bird of paradise red and the cool slub texture.

I also appreciate how it fits around the arms, and the higher neck offers chest coverage, but it’s not so high that it isn’t flattering. It comes in a bunch of colors, and it runs true to size. The small fits perfectly in this one.

VERDICT: Keeping! I’ve been wanting more color in my closet, and this is perfect because it’s casual and easy to throw on and go. It will look great with white shorts and jeans, as well as the blue denim as seen here.

Tiered V-Neck Dress

dress (S) // white sandals (8) // cognac sandals (8) // old silver wedges // earrings

I never expected to like this dress, but I ordered it to have some other options to feature. Color me surprised when I put it on and actually loved the fit! I never wear ruffles, but something about this just works.

I love the dolman sleeves and the shape of the v-neck, and while it’s more frilly than what I typically go for, it hangs just right. Even the elasticized tie waist is located perfectly. I’m 5’5″ and high-waisted, for reference.

I also appreciate that this dress is 100% cotton. I would say it’s true to size, but if you’re tall or long-waisted, you may need to size up for length.

You know I like something when I start playing around with various ways to style it… and I couldn’t help but try this dress with a few different shoe options. I think I like the silver wedges best, but the cognac wedges work too. Those are finally on sale, by the way!

I also ordered this dress in the tropical floral print. For some reason, the prints in this dress have an extra layer underneath, and they also have a slightly different fabrication. The solid colors are 100% cotton, and the blue tie dye and tropical floral are 55% cotton, 45% rayon. Otherwise, the fit is pretty much the same.

VERDICT: Keeping the black. I feel like it is overall more chic and understated, and I like that it’s 100% cotton and doesn’t have that extra layer of fabric in the skirt, but the tropical floral is a great print if you want something more summery and fun.

Gap Factory V-Neck Dress

dress (S) // sandals (8) // earrings

This dress isn’t nearly as flattering, in my opinion, but it has a really nice drape and skims the body in a way that’s easy breezy. It’s 100% rayon, and it’s unlined, so it’s very cool and comfortable. It also comes in a bunch of other prints, and there are some tall and petite sizes available.

VERDICT: I’m not crazy about this silhouette, so I doubt I’ll keep this one, but I can see how some ladies would like this dress a lot. It would be nice for those who need casual work wear.

Gap Factory V-Neck Top

top (S) // shorts (28 but need the 29) // sandals (8) // earrings

This top is made of the same 100% rayon woven material as the dress above, and it has a similar shape with the v-neck and dolman sleeves.

I didn’t bother to change my shorts, but I can see this top with white shorts for more of an elevated summer shorts outfit, or with white jeans for work or church. It’s true to size, with an easy fit.

VERDICT: I doubt I’ll keep this one, but it’s a nice choice for ladies who need work wear.

Okay, I can’t think of a clever segue from summer dresses to cashmere sweaters, so brace yourself for some whiplash…

Vince Cashmere at Saks OFF 5TH

Saks OFF 5TH has a bunch of Vince cashmere on a deep discount, so I ordered a few to try. I wanted to share these before I left for Maine because they were fully stocked at the time, but I never had time to get a post up. They still have a lot of sizes, but not all.

These are the Vince sweaters of yore, back when they were 100% cashmere and thick and plush. The stuff they made for the #NSale this year is not the Vince I’ve grown to love over the years, but this is the real deal, and the prices are around 50% off.

Vince Shaker Ribbed Cashmere Cardigan

sweater (S) // blue jeans (6) // black jeans (28) // mules (8)

I love the idea of this sweater, it’s a lovely cool shade of camel, and it has a flattering v-neck and extra long sleeves. The button-up style adds some nice detail, but it’s definitely too small through the body, and I think if I sized up, it would be way too big in the arms and shoulders.

It’s 22″ long, so right on trend for wearing with high rise jeans. I tried it on with both blue and black denim, and I really love it with the black and those plaid mules. Unfortunately, it’s pulling too much across the best. I even tried a few different bras, but none worked, so sadly, it’s going back.

VERDICT: Returning, so sad…

Vince Dropped Shoulder Cashmere Sweater

sweater (S) // jeans (28) // mules (8)

This one, however, is pure gold! This is the thickest and softest and plushest of the bunch. I love this White Sand color, but it also comes in black.

I’ll even forgive them for giving it a dropped shoulder because the v-neckline is so flattering, and it has the perfect relaxed but not oversized fit. It’s 100% cashmere, and about 23″ long in front and 25″ long in back.

I love how it pairs with the off-black jeans, above, but I also think it looks great with white denim. Here it is with the Mother Dazzler and the same shoes.

This is the type of sweater I want to wear every day in the fall and winter. It’s so effortlessly chic — just throw it on with a great pair of jeans and mules or booties, and you’re good to go!

VERDICT: No brainer, keeping!

Vince Cashmere V-Neck Pullover

sweater (S) // black jeans (28) // white jeans (29) // mules (8)

I’m pretty sure this is the Vince Weekend V-Neck, which I have in grey and black. It’s such a good classic v-neck cashmere sweater for wearing alone or layering. It’s not as thick and plush as the drop shoulder style above, but it’s still very soft and lovely.

This shade of green is so pretty, and it pairs as well with black as it does with white. You can wear this sweater untucked or front-tucked, as seen here, and it runs true to size.

VERDICT: I’m probably returning this, as I have soooo many sweaters, and this one isn’t that special other than the color. It’s a great deal, though, especially if this is a color you like to wear.

Vince Cable-Knit Alpaca-Blend Sweater

sweater (S) // jeans (29) // similar mules

This sweater reminds me a lot of the cardigan that’s part of the #NSale, but I like the fit of this one so much better. It’s made of Alpaca/polyamide/wool so it isn’t as soft as the 100% cashmere styles above, but it’s still a nice, thick knit.

I love the interlocking cable design and that gorgeous shade of grey/blue, and it’s 23″ long. It pairs well with higher rise jeans, as well as these mid-rise jeans. (These have a 9 3/4″ rise.)

VERDICT: I don’t usually wear crewneck styles, but the raglan sleeves de-emphasize my broad shoulders, and this sweater is different than anything I have, so I may keep it. I need to try it with a few more shoe and denim combos before I decide.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Fall Finds

The #NSale ends on Sunday, so there are just a few days left to snag those pieces you’ve been considering before they go back to full price! I have a few new pieces that came in while I was I Maine, and I’ll also mention a few others that didn’t get much airtime and are still available. Inventory is fluctuating a lot right now, so if your size isn’t available right now, keep an eye on it!

Good American Good Straight Raw Hem High Waist Straight Leg Jeans

jeans (6) // sweater (S) // boots (8)

These jeans were a last minute purchase and one of the few pairs of premium denim from the #NSale that are still well-stocked. I guess they flew under the radar because there were so many good options, but these are a really good price, and they’re highly versatile due to the classic straight silhouette and clean medium indigo wash.

They have a 28″ inseam with a 15″ leg opening and a 10 1/2″ front rise, and the fabric is 99% cotton, 1% elastane. They have that Good American gap-proof waistband and lots of support through the tummy area. I found these to run larger than most Good American jeans. The 6 fits me fine, and most of my GA size sixes are really snug right now.

VERDICT: Undecided on these; I really don’t need them, but I am holding onto them for now.

Sam Edelman Agnes in Sesame Suede

boots (8) // jeans (6) // sweater (S)

I have these in the Warm Copper leather, and I wanted to see how this Sesame suede works with my fall wardrobe. These are a really good color for pairing with skirts, if that’s your vibe. They’re a nice quality and very comfortable. Also, still well stocked! They are true to size; the 8 fits me fine with room for thin socks.

VERDICT: Keeping for now.

Caslon Collarless Open Front Long Cardigan

sweater (S) // t-shirt (M) // jeans (6) // boots (8)

This cardigan was one of the top sellers on my blog last fall, and I was happy to see they brought it back. It’s soft and stretchy and comfortable, and it has an easy, relaxed fit. It also comes in a bunch of other colors, and it’s TTS or size down if in between.

Caslon Utility Jacket

jacket (S) // t-shirt (M) // jeans (29) // mules (8)

I think I’ve shown this jacket already, but I had these pictures, so I thought I’d throw it in here even though the inventory is a bit slim at the moment. I really love this coral/rust color, although it comes in navy, olive, and blush as well. It’s soft and stretchy and lightweight, so perfect for transition season.

I also tried it with Vince booties… I think I was actually comparing the Paige jeans with both pairs of shoes. There are a few sizes left right now, for anyone who has been watching for them to come back in stock.

VERDICT: I really prefer shorter jackets but this one is so pretty, I’m going to hold onto it for now. I’m also undecided on the jeans… again, I have so many that I like. These and The Dazzler are very similar, as are the Good American Good Straight from above. And for that matter, there’s also the FRAME Le High Raw Hem Ankle Straight.

Here’s a side-by-side comparison. You can click through and compare measurements but they’re all pretty close. It’s more a matter of what wash you like, and the fit and feel on each individual person will vary, of course.

FRAME Le High Straight (29) // MOTHER The Dazzler (29) // Good American Good Straight (6) // Paige Cindy (29)

Okayyyyy…. moving on!

FRAME Le High Waist Flare Jeans

leather jacket (S) // t-shirt (S) // jeans (29) // booties (8.5)

Now, these jeans are amazing. They’re obviously too long for me, but I might have them hemmed. I just don’t know that I need them with the AG Farrah Boot… I need to think it through.

These have a 35″ inseam, 20″ leg opening, 10 1/2″ front rise; and the wash is just fantastic. I mean, yeah, it has a bit of an acid wash vibe, but not too much. They just have a great casual, lived-in look.

VERDICT: Keeping for now. If you’re taller, and have trouble finding full-length jeans that are long enough, you may want to try these.

Wit & Wisdom ‘Ab’Solution Raw Hem Slim Straight Leg Jeans

leather jacket (S) // t-shirt (S) // jeans (6) // mules (8)

These have been pretty much sold out since I got them, which is a bummer because they have a great wash, fit, and feel. I guess that’s why they keep selling out every time they get restocked!

They’re 60% cotton, 22% rayon, 17% polyester, 1% spandex, so very soft and stretchy and comfortable. They don’t feel very much like denim, but they look like denim.

And they have a 27″ inseam with a 15″ leg opening and a 10″ front rise, which makes them a pretty straight-forward slim straight ankle jean with a mid to high rise, depending on your body type.

The faded black wash is very of the moment, and also gives them a more casual feel, so I threw on my hooded leather moto to show how I might wear them.

These are true to size, or size down if in between; I ordered the 6 and 8, and they both fit, but this brand tends to stretch some with wear, so I’m keeping the 6.

French Connection Millia Ribbed Sweater Vest

sweater (S) // jeans (6) // mules (8)

I think I ordered this because someone recommended it, and it’s cute, but definitely too short for me at 21″ long. (And it seems shorter than that, actually.) I need at least 22″, and 23″ is better. But it’s soft and comfy and right on trend.

The fabric is 94% acrylic, 5% nylon, 1% elastane; and this sweater also comes in oatmeal, camel, and grey.

VERDICT: Returning; it’s not for me, but if you don’t mind the cropped length, it’s really cute for anyone who likes the muscle-tee styling.

AllSaints Odette East/West Leather Tote

tote // sweater (S) // jeans (29) // similar mules

Okay, this is random, but I wanted to take a few more pictures of this bag, and it’s still available at the time of this posting. I’ve reviewed it before, so I’ll just reiterate that I love the buttery soft leather and unlined interior, and I think the shape is really fun. I especially love how it has contrasting black straps to tie into all the black footwear I own.

VERDICT: Keeping! This is different than anything I have, and very easy to use.

R Minkoff Edie Chevron Quilted Tote

tote // sweater (S) // jeans (29) // similar mules

And this one is sold out, but I’ll show it to you in case it comes back in stock. This bag is lovely, and it makes such a chic statement but it’s very large. I see this as a work tote, but not something I would carry on an everyday basis for my casual lifestyle.

VERDICT: I’ll probably return this, although it will make a nice addition to some of my fall outfit pictures on the blog, if it comes back in stock. I love the color and the styling, but it doesn’t really fit my lifestyle.

Zella Carey Quilted Funnel Neck Pullover

pullover (S) // leggings (S) // sneakers (8.5)

I love this quilted funnel neck pullover, and while I styled it here with the matching leggings, I think it would actually be cute with jeans and sneakers for football games and other casual fall activities. I often feel overdressed in my cashmere sweaters at such events, so I like having a few “elevated sweatshirts” in my wardrobe. This is true to size, and it comes in a few other colors too.

VERDICT: Keeping.

Zella Recycled Live In Pocket Leggings

pullover (S) // leggings (S) // sneakers (8.5)

I thought the matching leggings were fun, but I don’t like these as much as my Vuori and Sweaty Betty leggings. They’re thinner and just not as comfortable.

VERDICT: Returning.

Treasure & Bond Stripe Ribbed Cotton Sweater

sweater (S) // jeans (29) // sneakers (39)

This sweater was another last minute purchase. It didn’t really appeal to me online, but people keep talking about it, so I wanted to try it, and it’s really cute! I have so many solid sweaters, so the stripes are nice for variety. I don’t even mind the high crew neck all that much.

The quality on this one is average, but it’s a decent value for the price point — especially the sale price. It’s true to size, or you could size up for a more relaxed fit.

VERDICT: Keeping!

rag & bone Retro Sneaker in Light Sand

jeans (29) // sneakers (39)

I love the retro styling on these sneakers, and the quality and comfort is great too! I waited FOREVER for these to come in and they’re too big. Womp… womp…

I like this color so much better than the Safari Suede that I have in the size 38. I thought they were too small, so I ordered these in the size 39, but the 38 is a better fit. So yeah… I’ll be stalking these until the end of Sunday!

Okay, that could have probably been four posts, but anyway! I hope it’s helpful, and I’m happy to answer any questions in the comments.

  1. I also tried the Zella funnel neck sweatshirt and just couldn’t make the neck work. I may still have it in my TBD pile. Are you able to show a close up of how you did the neck? Did you fold it? I loved the idea of it so much, thinking along the same lines as you, so I think I ordered it in all the colors. LOL

  2. The Vince sweater with the dropped sleeves just came in from Saks Off Fifth. Love the quality but mine has a crease under the chest where my guess it was folded.

Going to steam it but curious if yours had the same crease? If yours didn’t, I may contact customer service and ask that they send another one.

  3. GREAT POST!!! I looooove your try-on posts, and nobody does a better job of spilling all the deets ☺️

  4. Great post. I have been pleased with the Gap Factory items I’ve ordered before. Thanks for sharing these. I like the forever tank and tee for sure.
I think the tiered, black dress needs the higher heel for sure. I wonder what it would look like with the suede wood platform heel you are keeping for Fall. Would make the dress look more Fall. Glad you are keeping it. I also like the v-neck dress on you that you aren’t keeping. I think the blue stripe is cute. Just easy and casual. Are you keeping the green collarless cardigan? I ordered it in smoke pink and when it came, it was starting a hole down by the pocket. I order the XS and perfect fit but was a little scratchy. I don’t do wool, but with only 5% sometimes I do fine with under layers. So, I reordered before sale over and then I read the reviews and they all are bad for itchy and everyone is sending back. No wonder the sizes are still available. So, I guess when the next one comes, I’ll reevaluate. I was just wanting for church to wear with my black spanx pants. I like something a little longer with them, since they are more body con. Anyway, just wonder if you like the sweater quality. I think Nordstrom is going cheaper fabric on the N sale sweaters. I wish I could do the cashmere ones. I love the ones you styled. Last, thank you, thank you for sharing the Good American Raw hem straight jeans. Never saw these. I just can’t spend $200 on jeans and wanted a darker wash, straight leg and so I hurried and ordered these to try. Good sale price. I usually am a size 4, but sometimes a 2 in Wit and Wisdom, but there was only a size 4 left and you said you thought they run larger. I’m 5’3″ 120lbs. Hope they work. Thanks for all the hard work you put into your post.

  5. Great post. I especially appreciated the comparison shot of the similar straight leg jeans since that’s what I ordered and am needing.

    1. Yeah, that shot was enlightening to me too. Made me realize I don’t care for the Paige as much as the others, and I don’t need them all. I think ladies who find the dazzler too narrow will like Paige.

  6. Well, I just ordered the Good American jeans. I am determined to start wearing my jeans more often because of their versatility and how they fit my lifestyle. I am waiting on my smaller size of the Caslon jacket in the peach color to be delivered; my larger size just looks sloppy, so I want to compare. Today I received two Zella tops and one Madewell top from the sale. Both of the Zella tops fit, but the one by Madewell was huge, so I’ve just ordered it in the next two sizes down to see which one fits the best. It’s a nice cozy top that will be a very good addition to my closet, and I really want it.

  7. I absolutely love the Sundry Squareneck Ruched Dress on you – so flattering and I think you need to rock it! Also a big fan of the striped sweater with the Rag & Bone sneaks, so modern! What looks less so is the ‘old silver wedges’ you show with a few outfits- I think they were expensive and you are hanging on to them to get a good cost per wear? Sorry just my two cents – love what you do and the dedication you put into each and every post!!

    1. Yeah, I know those wedges are a bit dated, but I wear them b/c I still love them, not necessarily to get a better cost per wear. I also love the stripe sweater/rag & bone sneaks. I hope I can snag them in my size before the sale is over!

  8. Love this post, I know you must be tired after trying on all these outfits. You look great in all outfits but I think my favorite are the Paige Cindy jeans and the Vince oat colored sweater. You can really tell the quality of this sweater how it lays and the Paige jeans look the most comfortable to me. Which On sneakers do you find to be the most comfortable? I have wanted to order the white ones with the black laces that you’ve worn but they weren’t in the Anniverary sale and the other styles that were sold out quickly.

      1. tks so much for your reply. checked out the link but only the rust color were available but will keeping checking back, maybe other colors will become available soon. tks so much for your hard work!

  9. Thank you again for a wonderful post! No that you care what I think, but you look absolutely stunning in the Frame Le High Waist flare jeans. It is a perfect fit and you look 10 lbs thinner. Get them hemmed and return all the others. The Good American ones don’t look nearly as good on you as the Frame.

      1. I’m afraid I won’t buy these new denim styles,I mean the cropped ones. The bootcut style I like it, but it is something I used to wear some years ago, and I have become so used to the cigarette jeans silhouette that I don’t think I will wear my bootcut jeans again. They look kinda dated to me,in spite of their resurgence.

  10. I like the AllSaints Leather Tote too and trying to decide between the tan or the black. I wondered if you kept the AllSaints Captain Round Crossbody. I think you showed it in green but they also stocked it in the same Palisade tan color as the tote. The strap is not as comfortable as other crossbody bags that I own. Do you have the same opinion? Thoughts on which style and color might be the most versatile since I don’t change handbags often? Thanks so much for all the information and pictures you post. It’s so helpful!

    1. I do still have the Captain crossbody; I need to carry it, I guess the green just feels awfully “fall” to me. But that’s silly! If you don’t change bags often, the tan is probably more versatile.

  11. That Rebecca Minkoff bag is gorgeous! Please keep us posted if you see it in stock anywhere! Also fyi in one of the pics you have on the black absolution pants with those cute plaid mules; if you swap the white tee for that beige halter sweater it’d be such a cute transition outfit, especially for a casual date night!

  12. I love a lot of the items here!! That striped sweater is great!! I think you should have kept the floral dress. It was really cute on you.

  13. I just love your posts like this, well actually I love all your posts. Your style is the best!! I do love that black dress from Gap! I have some rewards dollars with them and just think that is the perfect thing for me. It looks great on you even though you don’t usually wear tiers. This definitely works on you!

  14. Love the items from Evereve. Those Edwin jeans are fantastic but yikes you’re right. They’re pricey!!

  15. Hi Jo Lynne – I usually agree with your picks, but the blue polka dot top from Gap Factory was a big miss for me. The V neck was way too deep and the top was too boxy, That one’s going back!

  16. The striped sweater caught my eye because it seemed burgundy to me and I need more burgundy/maroon and white tops to wear for my alma mater‘s colors. However when I went to the link it says it’s brown. How does it come off in person?
