What I Wore Lately: December 2025

Happy Christmas Eve! I know everyone is probably busy prepping for the big day, but since it’s “the other Wednesday,” when I’m due to post What I Wore Lately, I figured I would just keep that cadence and share my everyday outfits from the past two weeks….

But first, the usual disclaimer: This is what I actually wore as I went about my everyday life, so it can get a bit repetitive, and some of the older items are no longer available. I’ll link up other options and similar-for-less styles where I can.

Two Weeks of Everyday Winter Outfits

Starting out two weeks ago, I had a photo shoot and then came home to do some work and pack for an upcoming trip. I just kept on this outfit, which was from the last look we shot.

Jenni Kayne Flynn Cashmere Sweater (S) (option) // MOTHER Bookie Sneak (29) (option) // Dolce Vita Faint H20 (8.5) // similar hoops // toggle necklace

The next day, Paul and I flew to Nashville to bring our daughter home from college. I dressed simply in jeans, a pullover sweater, and sneakers, and I topped it off with a wool coat. We had dinner plans that night, so I wanted a coat that looked polished enough for a dressier look but also worked with jeans and sneakers.

When I realized how cold and windy it was, I grabbed a scarf, and I was glad I had it!

I had a feeling I’d be too busy to grab a photo before dinner, so I threw this outfit on and snapped a quick picture in my room before packing. Good thing I did—I ended up changing in the hotel lobby bathroom because the check-in line was long and slow, and I didn’t want to risk being late for our reservation. (I wore the Aritzia coat on top.)

Madewell cardigan (M) // MOTHER Hustler Roller Sneak (30) (option) // Veronica Beard Kelby (8.5) // Anna Beck pendant // similar hoops // similar bag

The next morning, we set out to drive home. I brought my favorite black cardigan to swap out for the ivory sweater I flew down in.

I wore the ivory sweater again with the same jeans and sneakers for the second day of driving, and I don’t have a picture of that or of what I wore the next day, either. I think I was too tired to even get out of workout clothes.

We got some snow, and I had to do some errands, so I pulled out my new La Canadienne weatherproof suede boots and paired them with these washed black loose-fit KUT from the Kloth jeans.

LNA henley (S) // KUT Selena (6) // La Canadienne Kiki (8.5) // Lagos hoops

Workout look of the day… I was feeling a bit maroon, apparently. Not to be confused with morose.

Vuori Elevation Legging (M) // Energy Top Long (M) // Vuori Modern Zip Hoodie (M) // Xero Wynn c/o (8.5) // Lagos hoops

Another cold, snowy day… working from home.

SPANX wide leg pants (M) // SPANX Half Zip (S) // similar UGG slippers // Lagos hoops

A casual day working from home, taking calls. This was the week I found out my affiliate network was folding, and I spent a lot of time talking with other networks and on Zoom calls with my team to figure out our plans going forward.

Paul and I had a meeting with our accountant last Friday morning, and I pulled on this casual outfit. We still go to his office… I know, so quaint! Loving these new FRAME jeans, by the way. They’re a relaxed bootcut in more of a rigid denim. I got the petite length so I can wear them with flats (and these low heeled boots).

Z Supply cardigan (M) // FRAME Pixie Arrow (30) (similar) // similar rag bone boots (39) // Jenny Bird Florence Earrings // Anna Beck pendant

Pilates on Saturday… It was coooold so I wore my “sleeping bag coat” over my workout clothes.

Vuori hoodie (S) // Vuori Energy Top Long (M) // Vuori AllTheFeels™ Legging (M) // On Cloud sneakers (9) // Aritzia Super Puff Long Climate (M)

We had dinner plans with friends that night, and I went a little “extra” and wore my leopard print faux fur jacket over an all black look. I actually have professional photos of this one!

leopard jacket (S) // Jenni Kayne Flynn (S) (option) // FRAME The Lax (29) // Vince Sutter Bootie (8.5) // FRAME belt (M) // Clare V. Petit Moyen // Jenny Bird hoops // Jane Win HOPE Pendant // Lili Claspe Adva Cuff

I jazzed up this simple black v-neck sweater with my Jane Win HOPE Pendant and Lili Claspe cuff bracelet. I also like the addition of the black leather belt with the gold buckle. My nail color is OPI Red Velvet Vixen, by the way. I love a good red nail at the holidays.

And the next night, we had a neighborhood holiday party to attend. I pulled out this green sweater from last year and paired it with coated denim wide leg pants and black suede ankle boots. (I like to pair suede shoes with coated denim for a contrast of textures.) I topped it off with a boiled wool car coat. The crystal jewelry might have put it over the top, but I figured, why not? It’s the holidays.

J.Crew Car Coat (8) // similar Vince Cardigan // KUT from the Kloth Meg Coated (6) // Veronica Beard Kelby (8.5) // J.Crew crystal necklace & stud earrings

And for church last Sunday, I went with another forest green and black combo. This mock neck sweater is also from last year, and I went with washed black jeans. To keep it interesting, I added camel boots and a camel belt and topped it off with a camel coat…

J.Crew Chiara Topcoat (6) (option) // similar mockneck sweater (M) // FRAME The Lax (29) // similar belt // old Vince boots, option // Mulberry Amberley (option)

I was trying to recreate an outfit from last year, but that version used grey jeans, which lightened things up, and slightly darker camel boots and coat, creating less contrast than these lighter tones.

MOTHER Weekender in Wanted! // similar mockneck sweater (M) // Veronica Beard Lisa (8.5) // similar belt (M) // J.Crew Daphne Topcoat (6) // Tom Ford sunnies // Jenny Bird Faye Knocker Earrings

I don’t know… this look felt a bit off to me, especially without the coat, but I still think it works. Black shoes and a black belt would have been more predictable, but also a little plain.

I snapped this picture during my Monday morning workout. I just got these Spanx leggings, and I really like them. They’re a bit of work to get on but they stay put and really hold everything in.

Back at home for another day working from home…

Nordstrom Cashmere Hoodie (M) // FRAME Pixie Arrow (30P) // Birk Boston Rivets (39) // LAGOS hoops

Then I wore this outfit to meet friends for lunch yesterday. I thought this Madewell colorblock sweater was really fun for a change!

Barbour coat 8 // Madewell colorblock sweater (S) // FRAME Pixie Arrow (30) // La Canadienne Kiki (8.5) // LAGOS hoops // Celine sunnies // Quince box bag

And today I’m headed to the mall bright and early to pick up one more gift. Then we have a family sushi lunch planned for this afternoon and a Christmas Eve service at church tonight, so it’s a full day! I’m wearing this outfit to the mall this morning, but I might change into something a little dressier for tonight.

I love this new red fair isle sweater, though, and I wanted to wear it before the holidays are over. It will still be fine in January, but it seems rather festive for Christmas shopping, don’t you think?

And that’s a wrap!

  5. Happy Birthday to your daughter! MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your family! I wish that my brain worked like yours when it comes to create great looking outfits using different colors and tones. The red fair isle sweater is perfect for today and even Christmas Eve service at your church. Since Larry cannot be in large crowds and since I am also immunocompromised, we will watch Christmas Eve Mass on tv. I do wish our weather was wintery than summery; highs in the upper 70’s today and tomorrow. It’s so hot on the front porch with the sun that it chased me inside.

    1. Wow!!!!’ 70’s. I don’t care for nice weather over the holidays either. I’m wishing for snow but it’s not going to happen in NW Oregon. Just a big wind storm coming today.

  6. Merry Christmas Eve to you. I’m glad you posted this morning. We are having late Christmas with my grown kids and grands so it’s kind of quiet around here today. It’s fun to shop when it’s festive in the stores. We might hit a few today too for something to do before church tonight. Happy bday to Caroline!!!

I just bought the coated Kut after seeing you in them again! I think I’m going to wear them to a gala in Jan….do you think this could work?

I’d do suede boots after reading your post and a fun top. Otherwise I’ll be on the lookout for a dress (Or possibly my black dress I wore last time depending on fit).
