What I Wore Lately Vol. 53

I don’t know about you, but over here, Wednesday seems to keep rolling around faster and faster. I feel like I just wrote one of these posts, but it’s that time again!

What I Wore Lately is a regular feature where I round up my daily outfits from the past week or two, and I try to give a little bit of context about where I was going and how my outfits came together.

What I Wore Lately Vol. 52

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and around 137 pounds, with an hourglass shape. Unless I say otherwise, I’m wearing a 6/28 in pants/jeans, a small in tops, a 6 in dresses/jumpsuits, and size 8 shoe.

What I Wore Lately

Last Wednesday, I needed to go to the mall for a few things. It was kind of dreary but not terribly chilly, so I brought a short black trench to throw on over my t-shirt and jeans.

I had highlights put in my hair the day before, and she did loose waves with a flat iron. They mostly fell out overnight, but I didn’t want to redo it so I went about my day like this.

Nordstrom Signature stripe tee // Good American jeans // similar mules (suede option) // Yurman hoops // Victoria Emerson boho cuff // SLIP face mask

I had a photo shoot on Thursday, and it was actually quite chilly, so I wore a jeans and a sweater to work from home for the rest of the day.

Friday is my standing mani/pedi appointment. I usually go every other week during the spring/summer months. I did a pretty chalky pink called CND Winter Glow for my manicure (here’s the Vinylux option) and Zoya Sonja — a bright coral/red for my pedicure.

BOBI slub top c/o // Mother Insiders (also at Saks; budget option) // TB Millers (also at Nordstrom) // silver hoops

Paul wanted to go out for dinner that night, but it was rainy and chilly, so I decided to change. I definitely didn’t want to wear open shoes, and my clogs seemed like a good in-between option, so I ended up changing the entire outfit.

I took the opportunity to carry my gathered baguette bag. It’s getting hard to find in the sand color, but there should be a couple left at Shopbop and the Loeffler Randall website.

On Saturday, I hosted the women in our church for a Mother’s Day brunch. I wanted to wear something feminine and pretty, but it was cold and windy and threatening rain. Good times! Since I wasn’t going out in it, I went ahead and wore what I wanted — a floral blouse with white jeans and strappy sandals.

We went to church on Sunday and then to a restaurant for Mother’s Day brunch. I had planned to wear a dress from last year, but it was still cold and rainy, so I decided to re-wear this “ladies who lunch” outfit from last week.

It’s conservative enough for church, but I feel like the straight ankle jeans and double strap braided slide sandals keep it modern.

Did I mention it’s been cold and rainy? LOL! I had nowhere to go on Monday, so I pulled on these lounge leggings with a performance tee and my super soft Athleta pranayama wrap. I eventually put on sneakers to go for a walk, but I wore slippers for the rest of the day.

I was still cold, even with the heat on in the house. I should probably give in and go dig through a bin in the basement and find some warmer sweaters.

Yesterday wasn’t QUITE as cold as Monday; at least the sun was shining. I had a workout appointment, so I was in leggings and a performance tee once again.

Nike hoodie (old) // Zella performance t-shirt // Vuori leggings // On Cloud trainers

I was planning to stay in that all day, but I decided to run a few errands, so I changed into real clothes and put on some light makeup. Oh, and this hoodie is on sale for $34.99 (down from $88) and fully stocked. I love this hoodie — it’s super plush and soft inside, and I think the cropped fit with the wide waistband is so cute with high rise jeans.

And that’s it for this week! I am hoping to have some more variety to share next week. Maybe some shorts and dresses or skirts??? Pretty please, come on, warm weather!!!

  1. It looks like you wear the same necklace everyday. I’m sure it’s real but could you please include a link to it? It’s gorgeous!

  2. Love seeing what you actually wear. I just haven’t had many places to go to get to wear fun clothes. I find myself buying new things and they hang in the closet. Same with shoes. Hard to motivate when you don’t leave the house much. I hope things change more coming up. Our county is in extreme for covid but people out and about so it’s always so confusing. Can’t listen to the news as they always put a grim spin on things. Have a good week and I hope your weather gets better. We actually have had a good Spring for Oregon. This week is mid to high 70’s. Going to be 80 today they say. Finally got my flowers potted yesterday. 🙂

  3. Love the lipstick color! May I ask what brand and color it is?
Thanks for the post…..love it all!!!

  4. Love these “what I wore” posts – you stand heads above other bloggers for your authenticity and keeping it real. We are in crazy lock downs in Canada and it is getting really old. COVD fatigue is real. 14 months of this….. sigh…… Whatever you folks are doing in Texas and Florida: bravo!!

Love your new highlights. You are looking really trim and fit. Whatever you are doing, its working! I am having a hard time justifying buying new clothes. I put make up on to go to the mailbox or get groceries; that’s as exciting as it gets here. Looking forward to getting a manicure/ pedicure one day.

  5. I noticed your phone holder loop, do you like it better than a pop socket? What brand is it? Thanks 😊
