What I Wore Lately Vol. 67

Happy Hump Day, friends! It’s time for another edition of What I Wore Lately, a roundup of my daily outfits from the past few weeks.

The past few weeks have been a bit of a blur. There’s always so much going on this time of year between blog work, my kids’ birthdays, and trying to plan for the holidays. I can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week!

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ with an hourglass shape, and I usually take a 6/28 in pants/jeans, a small in tops, and size 8 shoe. I tried to remember to note the size I’m wearing in the links beneath the pictures. Also, any gifted item is indicated by c/o. That means a company sent it to me; everything else I purchased myself.

What I Wore Lately

This first outfit should have gone in the last edition of What I Wore Lately. Somehow it got left out, so I thought I’d pop it in here. I wore this to the Philadelphia 76ers basketball game a few weeks ago with Paul, D, and R. We are all big fans, and this was R’s birthday present. My hooded leather jacket is 40% off, which is a great deal if you can find your size. Inventory keeps fluctuating.

This outfit is from the Wednesday two weeks ago, and I had a photo shoot that morning. I guess I changed into this afterwards. I’m not sure why, I usually dress in real clothes when I have my hair and makeup done. I must have gone out to take the dog for a walk.

The next day, I had a morning workout appointment. When I got back, I changed into this long sleeve top and sherpa to take a walk. I also wore this to my chiropractor appointment later in the day.

By the way, this is the best long-sleeve performance tee. It’s buttery soft, and I like how it skims the body without clinging. And I’ve already waxed eloquent about this sherpa several times. It’s the perfect top layer for my daily walks on these chilly days. These leggings are really good as well, and I just added these slip-on sneakers to my closet. They’re easy to slip on and go, and they have good cushion for long days walking or traveling.

We left early the next morning to drive to Boston to visit my daughter. I wore the On Cloud sneakers with my Lou & Grey Signature Softblend sweatshirt and sweatpants in the car, but I changed to go to the mall and out to lunch when we got there. It was chilly but sunny, so I didn’t really need my coat.

The next day, I started out wearing my Athleta running tights outfit. We shot the look by the water in Manchester-by-the-Sea.

I changed in the car, and wore this outfit for the rest of the day sightseeing and meeting up with some of my family who lives in the area for dinner. I snapped this picture real quick in one of the gift shops in Rockport, but I actually have a full blog post with all the details, if you’re interested.

I wore the same Lou & Grey Signature Softblend sweatshirt and sweatpants with On Cloud sneakers for the ride home on Sunday, and I don’t have any photographic evidence of what I wore on Monday.

I had a bunch of appointments on Tuesday, and we were having some unseasonably mild weather, so I wore this casual look with cropped skinnies.

I had another photo shoot last Wednesday, and I wore this comfy outfit for the rest of the day. I chopped off the bottom of these jeans, wanting them a little bit shorter for mules and sneakers, so if the picture on the website looks different, that’s why. I really love this wash. It’s such a quintessential AG wash — reminds me of the AG Legging Ankle Jeans I wore non-stop for several years. I loved those jeans!!! They still sell them, this pair is very similar to the ones I loved so much.

And this sweater isn’t linking properly, but it’s the Free People Cotton San Vicente Pullover Sweater, and it’s currently 50% off! If you copy and paste the name of it into the search bar on the Macy’s website, it should be the first search result.

This next look is from last Friday. I had a few appointments, and it was a nice day, so I pulled on this tried and true outfit. FYI, these jeans are on sale at Saks.

Clearly looking a little rough in this next pic, but I took it to show you my go-to running outfit for fall. This Athleta Flurry Force Insulated Jacket is one of my favorites for fall/winter running. It sold out really early last year and was hard to find after that, so if you need something like this, grab it now. I love how the arms and back are really stretchy and breathable, but the quilted panel on the front blocks the wind. Plus it’s just super flattering.

It wasn’t terribly cold that day, so I just wore a tank underneath, but I like to layer a turtleneck like this or this underneath when it gets colder. And these are the Athleta Rainier Reflective Tights I featured in this post. I put them to the test, and they’re amazing. They are really warm, and they stay put. (I hate it when my tights slide down when I’m running.)

After my run, I showered and got dressed for a lunch and shopping day with R. This is what I ended up wearing, but it could really use a necklace. The outfit is begging for a focal point. Even though the long pendants aren’t really on trend at the moment, I feel like that would look best.

Equipment turtleneck (similar) // Evereve faux leather puffer c/o (S) // Good American Good Classic in Black206 c/o Evereve (6) // Vince Henderson boots (from last year) // earrings // Lagos bracelets

Before I landed on this outfit, I tried it with the Good American Good Waist Crop. I love the wash on these, but I don’t love how they look at the ankle with these boots. I struggled with these boots last winter until I decided I like them best with jeans that cover a bit of that skinny shaft. It’s actually part of the reason they’re designed that way, I think, so your jeans can fit over top.

Here’s a side-by-side comparison. (At least, these pictures should show side by side on a PC. If you’re on mobile, it doesn’t work, but you should still be able to compare.)

That night is when we went axe throwing, so I came home and changed into this more casual outfit. Sorry the picture quality is so bad. It was getting dark outside, and my iPhone was trying to compensate, I guess.

It was a chilly night, so I wore my black vegan leather puffer on top. I grabbed it on sale late last winter, and I expect it will be on sale again for Black Friday. It’s a great way to level up a casual look.

The next morning, I wore this neutral look to church. I was running late and threw this outfit together at the very last minute. I’m shocked that I like it so much.

FYI, these pearl earrings are on sale, and then you get $25 off every $100 you spend at Bloomies. I got mine when they went under $500, but this is the best price I’ve seen them in a long time.

Monday was another cold day, and I had to run out for a few things. I grabbed this cozy sweater out of my closet, excited to wear it again this year. It was one of my favorites from last year’s #NSale, and there are still a few sizes available at Saks Off 5th. I have no idea why it’s there and not at Nordstrom Rack, but anyway!

I first tried it with the AGOLDE Toni straight ankle jeans, but I wasn’t feeling this color combo, and I also thought it would look more balanced with longer jeans.

Vince sweater (S) // AGOLDE Toni (28; also at Shopbop) // Vince Camuto mules // 11mm pearl earrings (faux pearl option)

So then I switched to my AG Mari slim straight leg jeans with the Blondo Dagger boots, and I like the proportions of this outfit much better.

Vince sweater (S) // AG Mari (28; available washes) // 11mm pearl earrings (faux pearl option) // Yurman bracelet

I tried a front tuck, but I like it best untucked, and it’s a lot less fussy that way.

I really like how these jeans skim over the boots and create a long, lean leg line. These AG Mari jeans are from last year, but the 10 Years Highline is probably the most similar wash of those currently available.

I threw my faux leather vest on over top when I went out to run some errands.

And that’s a wrap! I’ve got a long to-do list today, so I better get a move on. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  1. Ummm, we need to discuss your Gucci mules!! I love them. They say size up a 1/2 size and are they super comfortable and ready to wear out of the box? My husband loves his Gucci shoes, they are his favorite. I haven’t bought a pair yet, but I’m eyeing them!

    1. Yes, I have wanted a pair for so long, and finally bit the bullet last spring and got these. It was my 15 year “blogiversary” gift to myself, ha! So glad I did b/c it seems like the taupe has been discontinued. I went with the 38.5 (8.5) so that is definitely sizing up for me. I usually wear an 8 in closed back shoes and a 7.5 in mules.

  2. Love the What I Wore Lately posts! Thank you for all the time and effort you put into them. I hope the rest of the week slows down a bit for you before we hit the big Thanksgiving week.

  3. Great looks. I’m going CRAZY with new widths and lengths with jeans. Don’t like any lately. 🤪🤪You seem to have it figured out. Yesterday I wore older lower waist skinnies and was pulling them up all day and felt dated but my booties looked great with them. Lol.

  4. I have had my eye on those Gucci mules!! How do they run and are they comfortable/worth the price
    ?
    They are gorgeous !!

    1. They run small, I sized up a whole size from what I normally wear in mules. I find them very comfortable, but not in a cushiony buttery soft way. I don’t know if that makes sense. They feel really good on, though, and they’re comfortable to do a lot of walking in.

  5. Love the Burberry quilted jacket! I looked in some past posts and I’m pretty sure you sent a link for a similar jacket to that one but I couldn’t find it. Do you still know of a similar one? Thanks so much and have a good weekend.
