March Nordstrom Finds

Happy Saturday, friends! I was going to post these Nordstrom finds on Monday, and then I saw the Triple Points event this weekend so I figured this post would be a lot more helpful today than on Monday.

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten // eleven // twelve

These are all things I’ve ordered for spring, and I rounded up a bunch more of my Nordstrom favorites in the shopping widgets at the end of this post.

one // Loving this long-sleeve coverup for the beach this summer. Perfect for those chilly evenings, or when you just want a little extra sun protection.

two // I ordered this jumpsuit because it reminds me of the Michael Stars wide-leg jumpsuit I wore in Florida, but with a narrower leg opening and at a better price point. It arrived, but I didn’t try it yet. I will post a picture once I do!

three // This one’s on order, and I think it makes a nice transitional piece for spring. This green sorrel will look great with white denim, and it comes in a bunch of other colors as well.

four // I’m calling it now. These are my go-to white jeans for spring and summer 2022! I’ve tried a few different styles, and I’m thrilled with these.

These jeans are not see-through (I don’t know WHAT those two reviewers were talking about) and like all Good American jeans, they have a gap-proof waistband and good support to the belly area and shape through the rear. Best of all, they’re priced just under $100. They run true to size; I’m wearing my usual size 6.

five // I’m so glad to see these shorts back again this year! This picture is from two years ago — on my birthday, actually! I wore this out to dinner with friends for my birthday back in July of 2020. It was right after quarantine was lifted, and restaurants were only open for outdoor dining, and it was like 90 degrees so I wore shorts and sandals.

Anyway, the point is, this is my 3rd year with these shorts, and they’re still going strong. They’re a little thinner than I would like, but still not super see-through, and the thinner denim is more comfortable when it’s hot out, I guess. I like the fit a lot, and the cuff is not sewn, so you have the option of wearing them un-cuffed (9″ inseam) or cuffing them to the length you prefer. I roll mine 2 or 3 times, depending on how I’m feeling that day. I like the 7″ inseam best.

six // I’ve been wearing these earrings a lot lately. They’re lightweight, and the white shows up nicely under my dark hair. They also come in black.

seven // I just ordered this layer necklace, I think it will look nice in the neckline of blouses and t-shirts this spring and summer.

eight // This super soft sweater is lightweight and has a really nice drape. I shared it in a live Insta Story try-on haul, and then I forgot to take pictures for the blog. D’oh! I will get a picture later today and swap out the stock photo above.

Anyway, this is a nice transitional sweater for spring, and I love this muted periwinkle color. It also comes in brown, pink, and olive, and it’s 20% off! (It’s true to size with a relaxed fit; I have the small.)

nine // Yep, another swimsuit coverup! I told you I like to have lots of options. By the way, Nordstrom also has the R coverup I wore in yesterday’s post with Zappos in two gorgeous shades of pink.

ten // This dress arrived yesterday, and I can’t wait to try it on. I love a t-shirt dress for summer when I’m not in the mood to wear shorts, but it’s hard to find good ones that aren’t too form-fitting and don’t look like tents. I also ordered this one.

eleven // This is a nice option for a straw beach tote, and I love that it lays flat in your suitcase for easy packing. Or you can use it as your carry-on bag.

twelve // These on-trend braided slides have a molded footbed for support and comfort! I ordered both the cafe and ivory, and they also come in black and lilac.

Okay, so that’s it for the products in the graphic, but as I said, I rounded up a lot more of my Nordstrom Favorites below.

This is also a great time to stock up on your favorite beauty products and basics like bras and underwear. I’m saving all my points right now to spend at the #NSale this summer. It will be here before we know it!

  1. Just when I thought I was going to cool it on my Spring purchases! I am looking forward to your IG try-ons…you give the best commentary!

  2. I noticed you didn’t include the Tretorn Rawlins with the retro sneakers—did you end up trying them? Wondering how they were, as I was thinking about getting them!

  3. Great post and lots of wonderful choices! Regarding the Q and A questions, I love the Saint Laurent bag you mention–could you please provide a similar less expensive option. Perhaps one that is the same color and can be used year round? Thanks so much!

      1. great, thank you! very pretty! do you think it will hold a wallet, phone, keys, ect. I don’t usually carry alot of other stuff. Thanks!

  4. I”m interested in a couple of the Caslon tops and wondered what size you wear in that brand. Thanks for the head-up on the Nordstrom points!

  5. I’m catching up on your blog posts from the week and the one about purging the closet for spring is so good but also stressful. Since I live in a climate where you never really have to switch out stuff for the seasons (I mean we sort of do which means I just shift my summer weather clothes to the left of my closet during the winter but never remove them entirely because it’s common to have a string of days in December or January in the high 70s. But then it will turn cold in the 60s so I need my sweaters and we get cool at night here even in the summertime, so I wear lightweight sweaters year round). I know my closet is over-stuffed though And I’m a victim of the “closet full of clothes but can’t figure out what to wear each morning.” 🤦‍♀️ I probably need to do the Marie Kondo take-it-all-out approach but it’s so overwhelming to think about taking everything out and trying on each item. That’s a lot of items. I guess I need a week where I’m not working and have no plans to go anywhere. Lol! Any advice for people like me?

    1. Just start! 🙂 You don’t need to try things on that you wear regularly, and you can always do it in sections, but I’m a rip the bandaid off kind of girl. I just like to pull it all out and then I have no choice but to go through it. But you know yourself. If you will get sidetracked in the middle of it, and it will be all over your room for weeks, do it in sections.

      1. Okay- I’m going to take that advice and start purging. Spring Break is in a few weeks and I’ll have more time. I’m actually a very organized type A personality and usually like to finish a project once I start it, but I think doing it in sections will be easier for me. I just told my husband that I want to have California Closets come out and give me an estimate on a closet organization system. His closet is smaller than mine but he’s fine with it. Mine is a walk-in but it’s currently not arranged to utilize the space the best.

  6. Do you think the Good American White cropped jeans could be shortened a wee bit and not lose too much of the shape? I’m only 5’2″

  7. I don’t see them listed here, but did you size up in your white Frame Le High straight cropped jeans or are they true to size? Sometimes you suggest going up a size when they’re white. Thanks Jo-Lynne!

  8. I got the Caslon long sleeve tee in the pink/white stripe and it is very nice. It’s a slightly thicker knit and I felt it was true to size.

I think I’m ready to finally get a pair of the Veja Esplar sneakers. But Nordstrom only shows the pink ones in women’s sizes. The information says they are “unisex”. Have you tried the ones that are sized as mens/womens?

    1. Good to know about the Caslon top! My Vejas are the 39 EU women’s size. Yes, this is the exact pair I have. They are a little stiff at first. I don’t lace them into the last hole, and they broke in pretty quickly.

  9. I have not paid attention to my notifications from Nordstrom about this being a triple point’s weekend, so thanks for letting us know! We had a good bit of rain overnight, but no storms. It’s 36 now, with sustained wind 25-35 and gusts anywhere from 40-70, but the sun is coming out. We have a freeze warning for tonight. I only have one pair of decent sweatpants and a few sweatshirts in my closet, so I m glad the cold snap isn’t lasting long.

  10. I saw a few days ago about the triple points. I took advantage and ordered the Paige dress, the Mother the Hustler white jeans, a pair of Madewell I’ve been wanting to try, another pair of Kut from the Kloth Lauren cropped jeans (you showed them 4-5 years ago, and I wear that pair all summer), I just now ordered a Rebecca Minkoff belt in brown, another dress, and I will probably order a few more things before it’s over. I ordered a Mother the Hustler Jean in a darker wash the day before the triple points sale, and I absolutely love them. I’m a little late, but I am still working on quality over quantity!

  11. I was considering the AG Mari in white but now wondering if I should go with these Good American you showed. Also, have you any thoughts on Mother The Tripper High Waist ankle Bootcut? Was considering those as well. Thanks

    1. I tried the AG Mari in white, and while the measurements are very similar to the GA pair, they didn’t look right on me. I’m not sure if it’s the sewn hem vs raw hem or what. I wish I still had them so I could compare in person. You could order both and compare. That’s what I would advise. 🙂

  12. Sounds like Caroline had a good time relaxing and sewing. I think once kids go off to college schedules never seem to mesh with parents anymore. They end up with Summer jobs and it was always hard to find days to go on vacation together. Yes, once they have kids it’s more confusing.
I did a good closet purge after your post, but didn’t get the bags taken out of the house right away so I’ve already grabbed several items back out to keep. Ugh. My husband just mentioned he would drop bags off and I hurried and grabbed one more item out. I just know I’ll put these back in my closet and won’t wear. Why I do this who knows. Lol. The worst is…..several were ironed or steamed…. Not anymore, so to wear them I’d have to redo that. Think I’ve gone crazy. I will reevaluate tomorrow and hopefully just rebag them all. 🙂 Enjoy your last days with Caroline. It’s always nice when they love going back to their college and are happy. Won’t be long and she will be back for Summer.

  13. PS. Please update us when sizes come back in the white jeans. I need the 4 if true to size. The Good American you are loving. They must have gone fast.

  14. Just ordered the t shirt dress in the Cornflower. I hope its not too boxy. I was going to wait until I saw it on you and your commentary but triple points, so ordered it. I ordered down one size from my usual in Nordstrom clothes. Most all reviews say it ran big. I hope it right above the knee like reviews said too, as it looks shorter on the model.
