If you’ve been hanging around here for a while, you probably know I love a good pair of white jeans this time of year. They’re definitely a staple in my spring and summer wardrobe. A lot of women are intimidated by them, but I think white jeans are one of the easiest ways to look fresh, polished, and pulled together in the warmer months. And the best part is, they go with just about everything!

Whether you’re still on the fence or just looking for some fresh styling inspiration, I thought I’d share some of my favorite ways to wear white denim this summer.
9 Ways to Wear White Jeans
These outfits are simple, stylish, and easy to recreate with pieces you probably already have in your closet. And if you’re still searching for the perfect pair, don’t miss my White Denim Guide: Styles, Fits & Brands I Recommend for 2025.
#1. White Jeans + Beige Button-Up Tank + Neutral Sandals

cloth & stone square neck tank (S) // MOTHER denim (also at Anthro) (30) (budget option) // Schutz woven heels (8) // rattan hoops // similar necklace // J.Crew bracelet // YSL bag (option)
I wore this light, minimal look to lunch with a girlfriend last week, and it felt just right for a warm spring day. The stripe square-neck tank is breezy and lightweight, and the subtle texture and square neckline add just enough visual interest. I paired it with my white MOTHER Weekender flares and a pair of low-heeled sandals with beige woven straps that coordinate with the top. I brought along my sand-colored linen Camp Jacket in case the restaurant was chilly, but I ended up not needing it.
#2. White Jeans + Bright Color Top + Denim Jacket + Neutral Slides

AG Mari on sale at Bloomingdale’s & Nordstrom; fully stocked at Neiman Marcus (30) (budget option) // LNA tee (M) // KUT from the Kloth Lana c/o (M) // Veronica Beard slides (8) // YSL bag (option) // bangle & double hoop earrings
This is a combo I’ve been wearing for years—a pop of color with white jeans and a classic denim jacket is always a win, especially for cooler mornings or breezy evenings. I wore this look to dinner with Paul on our last night in Florida back in April. I paired my pajama-soft AG Mari Slim Straight Crop jeans with a bright pink v-neck tee that has seaming details and a slightly cropped, modern fit. A cropped denim jacket with a raw hem adds a casual, updated touch. I finished the look with neutral slide sandals and a raffia bag, which help keep it light and summery while adding a bit of warmth and texture.
#3. White Jeans + Black & White Stripe Top + Black Wedges + Black Woven Tote

similar stripe tee // PAIGE denim (29) // Vince wedge slides (8) 40% off! // NAGHEDI tote (Power Points) // earrings // similar sunglasses
Black and white is one of my favorite summer outfit combos. The high contrast creates a modern, sophisticated look that feels timeless and elegant. This particular look is a few years old, but I still have the culotte-style white jeans, luxe black wedge sandals, and black woven neoprene tote. I wish I still had that striped top—it had such a flattering scoop neckline and gold button detail at the shoulder. I did find a v-neck option in the same soft rayon/spandex blend at White House Black Market, if you’re looking to recreate the look.
#4. White Jeans + White Tee + Fashion Sneakers + Taupe Belt & Bag

FRAME tee (XS) (option) // MOTHER The Insider (30) (budget option) // similar belt // P448 sneakers (39) // similar bag // similar layered necklace // YSL sunnies
White on white creates such a clean, tonal look. It’s perfect for casual days when you still want to feel pulled together or you can easily dress it up with heels and bold accessories. I kept it casual here with cropped step-hem bootcut jeans and white P448 sneakers. A taupe belt and bag add a subtle, low-contrast finish, but for a more modern twist this summer, try warm cognac or rich brown accessories instead.
#5. White Jeans + White Tee + Denim Jacket + Neutral Heels & Belt

AG denim jacket (also at EVEREVE) (S) // FRAME tee (XS) (option) // PAIGE Leenah trouser jeans (29) (budget option) // similar sandals // similar belt // Tom Ford sunglasses (budget option) // Dragon Diffusion tote
Here, I started with the same white-on-white base, but the trouser jeans and heeled sandals elevate it into something I’d wear out to dinner or to a business casual event. I added a safari-style denim shirt jacket for a bit of contrast and an extra layer in case it’s chilly indoors. The brown woven tote and block-heel sandals keep the look modern and grounded, with just the right amount of texture.
#6. White Jeans + Floral Blouse + Strappy Neutral Heeled Sandals

similar blouse // Good American Good Legs Straight Leg Jeans (8) // similar strappy heeled sandals
This look is soft and feminine with a romantic vibe—perfect for lunch or a daytime event. My floral top is from LOFT last spring, but I found a similar option at Nordstrom, and really, any floral blouse would work here. These Good American jeans have a flattering slim straight-leg silhouette with a raw hem that hits right at the ankle, and the denim is thick with great recovery and no show-through, making them a solid value for under $100. My strappy heels are from last year too, but this pair is gorgeous and right on trend for the season.
#7. White Jeans + Navy Sweater + Neutral Flat Sandals

navy sweater (S) // AG Mari on sale at Bloomingdale’s & Nordstrom; fully stocked at Neiman Marcus (30) (budget option) // t-strap sandals (7.5) // woven bag // rattan hoops
You can’t go wrong with navy and white in the summertime—it’s simple, chic, and has just the right hint of nautical flair. This textured navy sweater has an easy, relaxed fit and pairs perfectly with my AG Mari slim straight crop jeans. I kept it casual with square-toe T-strap sandals in a light café color, featuring a metal ring detail, and carried a woven shoulder bag in a complementary tone. Oversized rattan hoops add a fun, summery touch, and I layered on gold tone jewelry to tie in with the metallic accents in the sandals.
#8. White Jeans + Stripe Button-Up + Neutral Sandals + Colored Sweater

stripe button-up (S) // Splendid Dre (S) // MOTHER denim (30) (budget option) // Veronica Beard Via Slides (8) // similar bag // Tom Ford sunglasses (budget option) /
I wore this outfit to lunch with friends when I was in Florida back in March. It’s a fresh take on coastal preppy, with a fun pop of color from the textured chartreuse sweater draped over my shoulders. The cropped striped button-up is right on trend this season, and I paired it with white ankle flares. These jeans work well with both flats and heels, which makes them a great option for travel. I went with neutral flat slides here since we were doing a lot of walking, but I’d swap in a block-heel sandal for a little extra height if the day allowed for it.
#9. White Flare Jeans + Pink Stripe Blouse + Brown Espadrilles + Linen Jacket

EVERVE Camp Jacket (M) // Rails stripe blouse (S) (also at EVEREVE) // MOTHER denim (also at Anthro) (30) (budget option) // PAIGE espadrilles (8) // rattan hoops
Finally, this summer look is playful yet polished. I love the subtle pink and beige stripe in the linen blend blouse, and it has a touch of ruffle detail, but not so much that it feels over the top. Here I styled it with white flares and chocolate brown espadrille wedge sandals for a dinner-out look. And I topped it off with EVEREVE’s beige Camp Jacket, since it was a bit chilly the evening I wore this, but it stands alone beautifully if it’s a warm night. The blouse is on sale at Bloomingdale’s and fully stocked at EVEREVE.
In Closing
White jeans really are one of the most versatile pieces you can have in your warm-weather wardrobe. Whether you like to keep it casual with sneakers and a tee or dress them up with a blouse and heels, there’s no shortage of ways to style them.
Real Talk: White Jeans & Stains
If you’re worried about keeping your white jeans clean, that’s totally fair! I can usually get two or three wears before I end up with a stain and need to toss them in the wash. I like to keep a few packs of Tide To Go wipes in my bag—sometimes I can spot clean and avoid washing altogether. (The more you wash your clothes, the faster they wear out, so I try to stretch each wear when I can.)
But don’t let the fear of stains scare you off. Worst case? You wash them. White jeans are too good to sit in your closet unworn!
I hope this post gave you some new ideas to try—or at least a little nudge to reach for your white denim more often. Let me know which look is your favorite, or how you like to wear yours!

Here was my last prep day:
Went for a long walk.
Had a mani pedi ( no reason to stay close to home until you start the prep materials which is later in the day.
Came home and relaxed on my sun deck reading a fun book.
Took a nap ( sleep prep night is iffy so a nap is great and makes the non eating day go faster)
Took a shower
Got into comfiest pjs.
My prep solution was pretty bad tasting. At the suggestion of a phamacist friend I ate lemon popsicles immediate before drinking. The cold numbs your taste buds!
Netflix and prep!
I like the idea of the lemon popsicles. I took a small bite of a yellow gummy fish (from Trader Joe’s) immediately after each round of the prep. It really helped me to get the taste out of my mouth by letting it dissolve. I think it’s okay since there isn’t red dye in it.
Lots of good advice. Distraction is the name of the game.
Love that you treated yourself to a mani/pedi! Great idea. I know I should get myself prettied up and do some try-ons, but I really just want to be lazy and take a nap.
Good to know with lemon Popsicles. I had wedges of lemon to bite into after each glass
Yes the lemon taste itself helps but frozen really helps to cut the taste of the stuff you are drinking!
I always eat banana Popsicles. Helps alot!!
These are all great suggestions for outfits with white jeans! Glad you’re getting the test done, not pleasant but important!
Before I had my first one, I was told that the prep was worse than the procedure, and it turned out to be true! Good luck, and it will be over before you know it.
Yeah, I’ve done this before, but it was years ago… I think I put the worst of it out of my mind. I know it will be over before I know it. Getting thru today is the hardest part. I’m just hoping for an early report time tomorrow.
As someone who’s always getting things on me – Dollar Tree now carries “dupes” of the Shout Wipes and Tide Pen – and they work just as well!
Also…for shows, have you seen?
– The Diplomat
– Night Agent
– Lincoln Lawyer
– The Yellow Jackets
– Ginny & Georgia (new season)
– A Discovery of Witches
– Man on the Inside
So many good idea, thanks!
Lincoln Lawyer for sure!
Great shows. A few more:
Ludwig (puzzle maker impersonates his identical twin cop brother when the brother goes missing and helps solve murders) On BritBox
North of North: Parks and rec vibes which takes place in a town as far north in Canada as is habitable (Inuit people). Netflix
The Law According to Lidia Poet (murder mystery/procedural show with heroine loosely (emphasis on loosely) based on the life of Italy’s first woman lawyer. Netflix.
Thank you!
I’m definitely team white jeans. I get a stain on them at least every other time. Who cares? Your advice was spot on. I probably have 6 pairs of white jeans in different styles and lengths. I couldn’t resist the newest Mari crop you have been showing. They are one of my favorite styles anyway, because I am only 5’1”, and they fit perfectly. Plus the lighter, softer fabric is great for summer.
As for the prep. My prep was somewhat different this time, and I ended up having to stay in the bathroom to avoid a problem. You might want to have a tablet or laptop with you in there just in case. Butterscotch candies got me through when I started getting really hungry. The prep is just awful, and you just have to get through it, since there’s no getting around it.
If you have a short Jean jacket that reaches at your waist, is it proper for the shirt to hang below the jacket?
Sure, if you like the look. It’s not quite as trendy as it once was but it can work.
Ginny and Georgia new season on Netflix. Just a cute show to watch. If you have time start with season 1.
Sounds fun. Thanks!
I really like white jeans so thank you for all of the ideas! Take a nap because you will need it. Lemon popsicles are a good idea! Praying all goes well!
I needed this post. I never grab my white denim. Not even sure why.
I tend to wear lighter colors with my off-white jeans. So a monochromatic neutral look (all off-white, or a light camel with off-white), or a top in a color like sage green or peach with off-white jeans would be my go-to, rather than white with a dark saturated color like navy or red. I love your last look, with the pink blouse, tan jacket and brown sandals.
That makes sense – assuming you are petite? Sticking with a monochromatic look or low contract colors tends to be elongating and may make you appear a little taller. (Not to assume that is your goal… just something to consider!)
You inspired me to take a look at white jeans, something I hadn’t worn in decades. I bought a pair of crop flares from Old Navy and I’m really enjoying them, especially with striped shirts and the boat shoes you also talked me into! I keep a Tide pen in my bag and I’m good to go.
These outfits are so great!! You look amazing. I appreciate you pointing out the shoes and other vital details. It’s fun to see how the different styles work with the different outfits. Accessories, too!! Thanks!
Do you, Jo-Lynne, or others have thoughts on the “age range” of wearing white jeans? Not that we’re trying to dress like 20 year-olds, but do white pants “age” you?
I never thought about white jeans being aging. I guess my 20-y/o daughter doesn’t wear them, now that you mention it. But to me they’re classic and elegant. I don’t look at what the younger crowd is wearing for guidance (although I do keep tabs on it) as much as I do what stylish women in their 40s and 50s are wearing and what is selling at stores like EVEREVE and Anthro.
Yes, I agree, classic and elegant. My 18 and 20 yr old daughter s would never even think of wearing white jeans. I just was walking around downtown Denver and saw 3 ladies in white pants, in their 20s, 30s and 50s. I did see 2 women wearing red pants.
Unfortunately, I have had to do the “prep” quite a few times in my life. My best tips are to chill all of the prep items well before drinking and drink through a straw. The less you smell it, the less you taste it! Hope all goes well! I always look forward to the really good nap! 😉
Ugh. Drinking that stuff is nasty. I did chill it and use a straw, which helped it be more palatable, but I think that also made it harder to digest quickly. At least the 2nd round at 3am when I was cold and groggy. By the of it, I set my last two glasses out to take the chill off. But anyway. It’s over. I have 5 years to gear up for the next one!
Love the outfits with the full length jeans. All are cute on you. I finally got into white jeans but I still won’t wear them if I’m going out to eat. I hope your procedure goes well. I’ve had 2 and no polyps. I’m thinking of skipping the last one. I never got hungry during the prep. Mine were always in the morning.
Yeah, you’re probably good at this point. Congrats! I have family history so they want me back in 5 years even though I was clear. Grateful for a good report tho!
This mixed top all came out very beautiful! However my best are the two with blue denim jackets. They look just wau!
I think all the styles were beautiful. But my favorite was number five very elegant. I love white jeans. Thank you until next time. Be safe
Thanks, Shirley!
