I got up early this morning, prepared to go to my training appointment and then to PT. But alas, a sick child cancelled my plans so I showered and got gussied up for the doctor’s office instead. Good times!
I usually wear this tunic with leggings, but I thought I would pair it with jeans for a change. I was tired of wearing the same 2 pairs of boots so I grabbed these moto-style ankle boots from the top shelf of my closet. These jeans are as old as the hills (an expression from my mother! Ha!) I like them tucked into ankle boots because they are tight all the way down through the calf and ankle so they stay put.
I wanted something different than my typical necklace, so I started rifling through my scarves, and I realized this one has the same shade of taupe as the sweater. Score! The circles earrings were a gift from my friend Lisa at Studio Jewel many moons ago, and I threw on my Renegade Bracelet from Stella & Dot. I was looking for my Alex & Ani bracelets but I couldn’t find them.
The handbag was the final touch. I haven’t changed out my bag in quite a while, but I couldn’t resist pulling out this coral bag to carry with this outfit.
And with that, a new outfit was born!
tunic (similar) // scarf (old, from LOFT Outlet) // skinnies (similar) // Tara M. Tiffany Ankle Boot (similar) // Renegade Bracelet // circles earrings c/o Studio Jewel
I really love this outfit – the scarf & bag pull it together perfectly!
Hope the sick kiddo feels better soon. 🙁
Thanks, it was just an ear ache. Nothing a decongestant can’t fix. 🙂
This makes me almost want to shower and dress to leave the house….. almost. This winter has been brutal in NYC 🙁
Haha. I hear ya!
OOOOhhh….I love this combination…so easy yet practical with a pop of color!!! Bravo!!! I think it’s good for our brain to put together new outfits…and fun! Jodie

LOL, well, goodness knows my brain needs some exercise. 🙂
The colors in this outfit really compliment your skin tone and hair. I am new to your blog and have already “copied” one of your outfits. 🙂 Well close to it at least. (Jan. 7th outfit) I also adore my Sorel boots. I would have never thought to put my olive tank with my navy cable sweater but it works! Thanks for all the fashion ideas. Love your blog.
Oh, thanks that is so fun to hear! Yeah, that was an act of desperation, that olive and navy pairing, and I actually really like it!
Love, love, love this outfit!! I have a similar pair of jeans that are tight all the way through to the ankle and hardly bag at the knees, a rate find indeed. Hope your sick one feel better soon and doesn’t pass it onto everyone else. Happy Thursday!
Thank you!!!
Love it! I have so many scarves and have just realized that my husband doesn’t really like them. Oh well. 🙂
Hey, I just wanted to know if you ever wear a winter coat? It would give people an idea how you fit leather jackets and denim jackets under them. Just curious how to handle the bulk?
Hm. good question. I usually just wear a big parka! LOL. It’s been sooooo cold this winter. (And I didn’t wear anything over the denim jacket. It was a mild day with no wind blowing so I was okay in just that.)
love this outfit, looks great on u!
How did you tie your scarf? I love the way it looks!!!!!!
Thanks, Amy, I have tried to recreate it, and I can’t. LOL!!! I wanted to do a video about it. Maybe I can apply myself and figure out what I did.
