My weekly Fashion Over 40: Daily Mom Style posts are BAAACK! I enjoyed my 28 Days of Winter Outfits challenge. I came up with some new outfits by shopping my closet, and I needed the push to get up and put myself together every day.
Now that I’m back in the habit, I’m going back to my weekly posts because I fear the daily outfits overwhelmed the blog just a little. Plus, that was a lot of work!
On Sunday, I wore this outfit to church. I’ve worn this top with the black leggings before, but this is the first time I tried the outfit with my brown riding boots as opposed to the black. I like how it adds some interest to the outfit, but I think I might like the proportions better with the black boots since the top is so long. But really, it works either way.
For jewelry, I tried to do something different and wear a chunky gold necklace on the front, but I ended up taking it off and sticking with this small delicate one from Stitch Fix that fills the neckline perfectly. I’m a plain jane at heart. I also wore my favorite Stella & Dot Goddess Teardrop Earrings. I like how they’re delicate but have just enough weight to them to show up under my hair.
The Adelina Cuff is another Stella & Dot piece. Sort of like the earrings, it has a delicate look about it, but it’s weighty enough to stand on its own without the need to layer anything else with it.
Shop this look: blue tunic and necklace via Stitch Fix // fleece lined black skinny pants c/o Goodnight Macaroon // Frye Phillip Harness Tall boots in Whiskey // Goddess Teardrop Earrings and Adelina Cuff c/o Stella & Dot // Michael Kors Chain Bracelet Watch // Tory Burch Amanda Crossbody (ebay)
On Sunday night, I changed into this for my husband’s birthday party, but instead of the chunky red necklace, I kept on the gold one seen above with the blue tunic. I really liked how it looked with the red top. I didn’t think it would be enough, but filled in the neckline perfectly. I didn’t get a new picture, but this gives you the general idea.

I was a lazy bum on Monday. With PT in the middle of the day, I just wore my pink tunic and those Athleta Metro pants. I didn’t see any need to photograph that again. Yesterday wasn’t much better, but I did manage to put on leggings and a tunic after my workout session in the morning.
I decided to go for grey leggings for a change. I put on a lavender tank under this black sweatshirt/tunic number that I picked up at Nordstrom last year at about this time. My cozy sweater UGGs were really the only footwear option for this cozy, casual outfit — perfect for a snow day, sitting at home, noshing on popcorn and watching Gilmore Girls.

I have already posted the rest of this week’s outfits, but if you’d like a recap, here you go!
My favorite outfit from this week is the graphic t-shirt with my camo skinnies and black moto jacket. I really wish I could have rocked the look with a pair of pointy-toe pumps, but I had to settle for flats instead. Yes, I posted this already, but it was over the weekend, and I love these pictures so much I wanted to do a little reprise. There are more pictures over on the original post.
Shop the look: graphic tee by That Chic Mom Tees // Gap camo skinnies (shop camo skinnies at LOFT or at Nordstrom) // LOFT coated cotton moto jacket (similar) // Nine West pointy toe black flats (similar) // red envelope clutch (sorta similar)
Last Friday I wore this outfit. You can get the full outfit details and more pictures in this post.

Blue is your color! The first outfit is my favorite! The black jeans look great with the brown boots!

Thanks! I do love that blue.
I love the blue blouse! It screams COLOR, which means SPRING in my book!!
I wish…. we’re getting pummeled again this week.
You look great in colors. I think I need to incorporate more color in my wardrobe. I wear gray and black 80% of the time 🙁
I used to wear mostly grey and black, but colors are fun! 🙂
Second time today I have seen the Loft Camo pants! They are cute, I’m just not sure I can pull it off! Plus it is final sale. Maybe I will hunt them down in the store!
You look fabulous as always!
Stacey
Thanks! Mine are from GAP, but I like the LOFT version. I felt weird wearing them at first, but my husband loved them on me, and that gave me the confidence to keep them. I agree – you may want to try them on first. Let me know if you decide to spring for them!
LOVE that blue on you- what a great color! You always look great on the go!

Stopping by from What I Wore Wednesday. I love the camo pants, I have been seeing them everywhere. I don’t know if I could make them work for me though.
I wasn’t sure at first either, but the more I wore them, the more I got used to them. 🙂
Love the camo pants – I have a pair from Cabi that I got last year. I thought I couldn’t pull them off, but they make me feel confident and a bit bad ass.
