Greetings, all! I’m super excited to share my 2024 #NSale Fall Capsule Wardrobe! This year, I put together a 30-piece capsule wardrobe with over 60 outfit ideas.
I hope this helps you hone your Wish List as you prepare to shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale this year, and if you aren’t shopping, it’s still fun to see where the trends are going this fall.
About the 2024 #NSale Fall Capsule
This capsule is tailored to my day-to-day activities, which tend to be very casual, but you can certainly tweak this for your lifestyle and/or style preferences. It’s meant to be a guide, and these wardrobe pieces are just suggestions. I included other options at various price points in the shopping widget, and you may already have a lot of these items in your closet that you can use.
I kept the color palette fairly neutral, but I added a pop of blue. Feel free to swap that out with another color, if you prefer, but there’s a lot of blue in the sale this year.
You may notice that I did not include jewelry and accessories (other than two handbags) in my 30 capsule items, but I did show some with the outfits to give you some ideas and to fill the space when I needed it. You can certainly use jewelry you have, but if you like what you see here, I featured these mixed metal drop earrings, these silver hoops, this gold pendant necklace, these black sunglasses, and these brown sunglasses.
There is also no workout wear or special occasion pieces in this capsule, but there is plenty of that in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, so if you need any of those items, be sure to add them to your shopping list.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Reminders
Icon members can start shopping online at 12:01 EST on July 9 (that’s tonight!!!) Ambassadors shop on July 10, and all cardholders shop on July 11. (Follow this link and log in to find out your status.) You’ll also earn Rewards points while you shop. The #NSale opens to the public on July 15 and ends for everyone on August 4, 2024.
I plan to set my alarm for midnight tonight, so I can place my online order with my most coveted items before the stores open Tuesday morning. Then I will be shopping in-store on Tuesday, and I’ll bring you along on Instagram to show you what I find. I hope to have my first try-on haul live on the blog Tuesday night, because the next level of Nordy Club members get to start shopping online at midnight.

The trends look the same as last year to me. I like that because I’m sticking to my wide leg pants and jeans. I used your Loft link to order brown linen pants on Saturday. I’m still shopping for summer. So many good sales.
So great how you prepare us for the NSALE.
Here’s something I didn’t know: Nordstrom sales people/stylists have access to our wish lists. I got a text last night from a Nordstrom saleswoman who has helped me shop on occasion telling me that she looked over my wish list and has a few more suggestions for me and sent me a link to shop my wish list starting at 9:00 PM on July 10th. Never had this experience before.
Question: Have you seen a Michele sport watch in the sale? I thought o saw one in the catalog but can’t find it now.

It felt a little invasive TBH when I got the text….mainly because I don’t have a relationship with this woman other than using her help a handful of times when in the store. I’m assuming this helps her? She must get a commission on anything I buy if I buy through her link right?
She gets a commission on your entire shopping cart, if you shop from her links. It does feel kind of slimy, and I didn’t want to say that because I didn’t want to sound self-serving, but it’s frustrating to think that I work so hard to put all this content together and people trust me and add things to their wish list from my recommendations, and then somebody else can slide in like that and get the entire sale. 😱
Well I won’t be using her link, that’s for sure. 😉 I need to know exactly how to shop my cart next week so you get the credit though. Maybe a quick lesson on how to do that for all your followers?

We are currently cleaning out clothes closet in preparation for what our daughter needs for fall. She has small closet so we need to hang many of her clothes. We are getting rid of the plastic hangers as noticed some shoulder marks from hangers.
Do you have recommendation for hangers that can be used for tees, sweatshirts, sweaters? I am hesitant to hang sweaters so will have to figure out solution in her small closet.
I saw Amazon has no shoulder mark hangers. Do you have any recommendation or links for hangers that would work.
I just use wood hangers.
Hi Rachel- I know hangers seem to be as personal as handbags for people, but the only hangers that don’t leave marks or stretch my tops and sweaters are the “huggable” hangers. I get mine at Walmart but the original ones came from QVC (Joy Mangano). But I hang most of my clothes (even my pajamas and nightgowns).
