What I Wore Lately Vol. 45

Well, friends, we’re almost through the first week of March! It’s hard to believe, and yet, I still feel like we have such a long way to go till spring.

I’m sharing What I Wore Lately today. These are my daily outfits from the past week and a half or so. It’s cold and blustery here in Philly, but the sun has been shining, so I’ll take it!

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and 135 pounds, with an hourglass shape. Unless I say otherwise, I’m wearing a 6/28 in pants/jeans, a small in tops, a 6 in dresses/jumpsuits, and size 8 shoe.

What I Wore Lately

This first look is one I wore to work from home on a Wednesday. I think the only place I went was to pick my daughter up from her friend’s house.

I threw on a pink crewneck sweater with my new AGOLDE Sophie cropped skinnies. I wanted to wear them a bit around the house to make sure I wanted to keep them, and I do! Not only are they a really nice length and cut for me, they’re very soft and comfortable.

These suede smoking slippers are a few years old, so I don’t have a link. Sorry about that! They’re verrrry comfortable, and I like to wear them when I’m going to be at home all day but I want to feel fully dressed down to my shoes. #thanksflylady

Another day, another version of the same outfit… pullover, jeans, loafers. I wore this to the nail salon last Thursday.

I don’t usually dress up this much for that, but I was doing try-ons and already had on these jeans and shoes. I lost track of time and had to throw on a top real quick, and this sweater was the first one I grabbed.

wearing: Naadam sweater // Good American jeans (similar) // Everlane loafers (option) // similar earrings

The next day, I had a photo shoot, and then an appointment to get my roots touched up. I wore this outfit home from my photo shoot, and I just kept it on. It was a mild afternoon, and with this shacket, I didn’t even need a coat. By the way, this shacket is 20% off this weekend.

wearing: Abercrombie suede shacket // ATM tee (similar for less) // AGOLDE jeans (more sizes) // RE/DONE sneakers (sold out) // Lagos earrings

We went out to dinner with some friends last Saturday night. It was so nice to get a change of scenery.

It was cold out, and I wanted to be comfortable but still look datenight-worthy. I knew I wanted to wear my new faux leather puffer (now on sale!), and I thought I might finally wear my Mother Insider crops with sock booties.

Here’s how it would look without the coat. I just opted for a cozy grey cashmere pullover. I like the slouchy look, and it’s warm and comfortable.

But after all that, I ended up back in my washed black Good American Good Legs skinnies. I know they’re not as fashion-forward, but they feel more “me,” and with the added drama of the faux leather puffer, I decided to keep the rest of the outfit more understated.

This was the finished look. I also added a layered necklace and a belt.

Here’s a better look at this the jacket. I love it. It’s so cozy and warm, and yet it’s chic and just a bit edgy — the perfect winter going-out jacket. And did I mention, it’s on sale?

It’s definitely a crop fit, which I like. It comes in some other nice colors as well, and it runs true to size. I have it in the small.

We had church the next day, and it was raining cats and dogs. I wore these ankle boots because they’re a hard leather, and I figured they would keep my feet dry and still look cute.

The rest of the outfit came together around them — the jeans are the right length and color to look good with the boots, and I like a light-colored top best with this denim + boot combo, so I pulled out this ivory wool/cashmere mock neck sweater to go on top.

wearing: Vince sweater (old) // AG Farrah skinnies // Franco Sarto boots

I spent most of Monday working from home, with a quick break to drive my daughter to an orthodontist appointment. And yes, this is just more of the same… cozy pullover, skinny jeans, boots.

Somehow, I managed to snag this sweater at Neimans for 70% off. I don’t even remember how I happened across it, but I grabbed it as fast as I could. The best deal I can find on it now is at Nordstrom for 55% off.

It’s really pretty with nice details and a flattering fit, and it’s suuuper soft and cozy. It also comes in ivory and sage.

wearing: Vince sweater // similar rag & bone jeans // Sorel boots

I had a photo shoot on Tuesday here at the house. By then, the weather had turned really cold and windy, and it has stayed that way all week. We had some beauty products to shoot and a few other random still shots I wanted for the Snapshots section on my home page. I kept this outfit on for a while after Alison left.

I really like this cardigan. It’s a bit shorter than the long cardigans that have been trending for the past few years, and it has that low v-neckline boyfriend cardigan styling, which I think helps it lay better over the chest area for those of us who are more well-endowed. It also has some nice details in the knit and the contrast buttons. It’s a little bit spendy, but it is on sale right now. I’m wearing Brazilian Sand, but I also like that Copper Clay color.

Oh, and my Frye sneakers are on sale too!

I did some try-ons that afternoon and ended up wearing my black Tonis and loafers for the rest of the day. I can’t decide which way I like it better… they both work.

wearing: BR cardigan // ATM tee (similar for less) // AGOLDE jeans // similar mules

I wore this on Thursday for my workout, and I snapped a quick pic because I love all of these pieces.

wearing: Vuori hoodie // Sweaty Betty tank // Zella leggings // On Cloud X trainers

I wore this familiar look on Thursday to work from home. This cashmere hoodie is 55% off, and it also comes in a pretty ivory color, which is a bit more spring-like than this olive. It’s very plush and soft, in fact, I’d say it’s right up there with Naadam in the thick, plush cashmere department.

wearing: Nordstrom Signature cashmere hoodie // AGOLDE Toni jeans (non-distressed version here) // Veja sneakers

And finally, yesterday… I pulled out this black cashmere v-neck (it was an #NSale purchase) and wore it with blue  jeans and Sorel boots. R and I went to a few stores in the afternoon, but I put the boots on when I didn’t know we were going anywhere because they keep my feet warm.

This cashmere sweater is down to $89, by the way, and it’s still fully stocked in the olive, which I have and love. It is also available in a light pink that is perfect for wearing into spring while it’s still cold. I’m very tempted… And these boots are on sale too.

wearing: Nordstrom Signature V-Neck // AG Farrah skinnies // Sorel boots (also at Backcountry)

And that’s it for this week! Hopefully I’ll be getting to wear some more spring-like styles soon… although, I just looked out the window, and we’re getting snow flurries, so. Yeah. We’ll see!

  1. I so love seeing your what you really wore outfits. Thanks for taking a Saturday to post those. I too am wearing more casual things. I still go into the office twice a week, but it’s casual business wear there. My area is still having cold weather and I love a good warm sweater or comfy sweatshirt!
I tried a Victoria Emerson bracelet! I love it. I then requested one for my birthday from my husband. And he not only picked out a fabulous one for me he took advantage of the bogo offer and got me two!

  2. Ive been ThiNking about you this weEk whIch was our spring Break. We went to Beaches in Turks and Caicos, and theres almost no one here. The resort is at 30% capacity but everything is open. Great temps for all outdoor dining. Way less crowded than Fl and theres a direct flight from Philly!

  3. What size are you wearing in the AGolde Sophie, JoLynne? I’m struggling with sizes between brands and new styles.

  4. Love the “What I wore” posts. March is a tease for us too; one day in the 50s, next day arctic cold winds. It is nice having longer days though with earlier sunrise and later sunset. Have a great weekend! Can now see the comments on top of the page – yay!

  5. Always a great post! Love these! I am loving that cardigan that isn’t quite so long. I’m so short that some of the longer ones just take over. Just a note about the comments….they show up on my phone and my desktop now, but not my ipad. I had to click on “leave a comment” to see them on the ipad. And when I started typing this comment on my ipad, it was all in caps, so I switched to my desktop. Not sure if the ipad is just going to display things differently?

    1. I don’t know, it shouldn’t, but they seem to have a hard time getting the same functionality and design on all devices and browsers. I know that’s the biggest challenge with a custom coded site, so I appreciate the feedback. Oh, also… try clearing your cache. I had to do that before I could see the changes on my iPhone. Do you use Safari?

  6. The Brazilian Sand cardigan is really nice and looks like something you will get a lot of wear out of. I can’t believe you were having snow flurries this morning. We are already dealing with the nasty pine pollen, which we hate. And the March winds are here, as well. I hope that you are having a great day!
