GAH it is December, how did that happen???
So this is my weekly accountability post. I’m joining Lindsay at The Pleated Poppy and posting daily photos of my outfits to help motivate me to get out of my pajamas and put some effort into my wardrobe. Hopefully it will inspire you too!
I usually hate rain, but now that I have new rainboots, rainy days suddenly don’t seem so dreary! I wore this outfit to the mall one soggy day last week. I scored my Hunter rainboots on a super sale at Shopbop a few weeks ago, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere right now for less than full price.

Oh and hey!! Starting 12/3, take 30% off full-priced items at Banana Republic. Use code BRHOL30. Ends 12/5.
This next look was a regular day of working at home and shuttling kids to and fro.

Striped Long Sleeve Cotton Tee, LOFT
Joe’s Jeans Skinny Visionaire Jeans in Plum {got ’em on a clearance sale; can’t find anything similar; sorry!!}
And woohooo!!! Take 50% off full price sweaters at LOFT!! I guess Black Friday and Cyber Monday were only just the beginning . . .
I must have gone somewhere that day because I grabbed a photo wearing my coat. I LOVE this hooded puffer coat. It’s not super thick and bulky, but it definitely keeps me warm on all but the coldest days. The shape is really flattering, and it is still available, or one like it, at Macy’s. It’s on sale for $149.99, which is a pretty good price for London Fog!

And that brings us to Thanksgiving Day! I picked up this tunic sweater on 45% off at Nordstrom, hoping it would work with my leggings.
Remember last week when I tried my leggings with a sweatshirt that didn’t quite make the mark?? This sweater fits closer to the body, and although it’s still not as long as I’d like, I think it worked better than the sweatshirt.
It’s also not a color I typically go for, but I have seen it featured a lot recently in outfit posts, and I always am drawn to it. I think I might like it better with browns and earthier tones, but I went ahead and paired it with my black leggings and my red JAFA Boots (sent to me as a sample).
The necklace is from Stella & Dot, but I actually purchased it on eBay. I’ve been working on a project with eBay, curating collections of products that I recommend, and along the way I found a few products that I couldn’t help snatching up for myself! This brand new C Pendant is one of them!!!
And the purse is from Baggallini. It’s the Brasilia Crossbody, but I like carrying it as a clutch. It was also sent to me as a product sample, and I’m already a fan. These organized bags provide the perfect blend of function and style, and best of all, you can get 25% off all orders + free shipping through tomorrow, 12/4, with code JOY at checkout.
This is one of those outfits that I wouldn’t ordinarily photograph, but you know, we all have these days! The key, I think, is to have some cute athletic wear in your closet for the days when comfort reigns supreme.

Finally, I wore this to a daytime holiday party put on by my good friends Sarah, Debbie and Melissa!
The top is from CAbi, several seasons ago. It hangs in the back of my closet, and I wear it on rare occasions when it seems like just the thing. This was one of those occasions! I didn’t want to over do it for a daytime event, but it was a holiday party so I thought some sparkle was appropriate. I actually tried it on first with my dark skinny jeans.
Then I thought it might look nicer with black pants so I put it on with my ponte knit pants. The Umberto Raffini Joelle knee high wedge boots (a product sample from The Walking Company) were a must! AND I carried my Brasilia Crossbody from Baggallini. Gold jewelry from Francesca’s completed the outfit.

Love those boots in the last picture. Wedges are so comfy but polished. All looks are great.

The sweater is perfect with leggings and boots. Looks great!
As usual you rock all the outfits! I especially love those red boots!! 🙂
Your holiday outfit is SO cute and I love that hoodie!
Love, love the red boot outfit! I wish I had known about the shopbob deal…I am holding out for a steal on Hunter boots. I saw some at Nordstrom Rack, buy not in my size… Boooo.

I like the sweater and leggings. When this trend started showing up all over the place, I really bucked against it because it smacked of tunic tops and stirrup pants. But, now, I’m getting used to it. I have the Hue leggings in my shopping cart at Nordstrom. I’m still waiting before I pull the trigger. I have the exact same David Yurman ring you are wearing in that picture! 🙂
LOL. I love that ring!!! And I had those leggings in my cart for a while. They really ARE the perfect legging!
LOVE the red boots — such a great pop of color!
Is it wrong that I wear my rain boots often during the winter ( even when it is not raining)? Mine are black like that and have cute little black and white flower applique on each side. Also I have some liners that go inside and fold over so they look a little more fashionable ( if that’s at all possible with a rain boot)
They’re great for winter! 🙂
Leggings and a slouchy knit…Yes please!
