September Favorites: Things I’m Loving Right Now

It’s getting near the end of the month, so today I’ve rounded up my September Favorites. This is a roundup of new finds and old favorites I’m particularly loving right now.

Finding items that I like is the easy part; finding items that stay in stock long enough to share with you is proving to be quite the challenge! I’ve updated this graphic twice since I started putting this post together. Let’s hope these are all still available when this post goes live…

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten (similar) // eleven // twelve // thirteen // fourteen // fifteen

September Favorites

For size reference, I’m 5’5″, and I usually take a 6/28 in pants/jeans, a small in tops, and size 8 shoe. All links and commentary are below the pictures.

one // I shared this sweater in Friday’s post. It’s one I’m super excited to start wearing as soon as our weather cools down a bit. It runs true to size, and it also comes in olive, black, and oatmeal/flax. (Also wearing Good American Good Legs Cig.)

two // This mascara has replaced the one I’ve been faithful to since high school. I can’t believe I found one I like even better, after trying probably hundreds over the years.

The way this tarte mascara separates, lengthens, thickens, and curls my lashes is almost too good to be true. I hear it dries out quickly, but I will happily buy it in bulk! (So far, so good, by the way. I’ve been using it almost daily for about a month.)

three (more sizes here) // This Sweaty Betty pullover is as cozy as it is chic. It pairs perfectly with high waisted leggings, and I’ll definitely be throwing it over my workout tanks to and from the gym. I might also wear it with jeans for casual outdoor activities this fall. It runs true to size; I have the small. (See the rest of this look here.)

four // These suede ruched mules are so fun for fall. I love that taupe color, and the pointed toe and feminine ruching makes these a nice alternative to the menswear-inspired loafer mules that are so popular at the moment.

They’re lightweight and flexible, and very comfortable. They’re true to size, or you may need to size up if you have higher arches or wider feet. They’re also on sale!

five (also in solid colors) // This is a fun top for this fall transition season. I styled the solid ochre two ways for yesterday’s post, but I also like this stripe version, and it’s fully stocked. This poncho is meant to be rather wide, and I think it runs pretty true to size, but you could try sizing down for less volume. It’s also 40% off with code METIME.

six // I find myself reaching for my new Perfect Pot just about every time I go to make a meal. It has so many uses, plus it’s lightweight and super easy to clean.

seven // Paul lent me his foldable mouse when I was traveling last week, so I don’t always have to use the touchpad on my laptop. I have to say, it’s really nice to use a mouse while on my laptop! The best part is, it folds down flat for easy storage, and fits neatly in the outside pocket of my laptop sleeve.

eight // These earrings are really fun for jazzing up a simple, casual outfit. (See the rest of this outfit here.)

nine // I’m loving these faded black raw hem crop straight leg jeans for fall. Whew! That’s a lot of adjectives. They pair easily with mules or booties, and they look great with the shorter tops that are trending right now. They have a 10.5″ rise with a 27″ inseam and a 14″ leg opening, and they run true to size. (See the rest of this outfit here.)

ten // Another one bites the dust… I swear, every cute jacket I order sells out before I can feature it. This one is already gone, and I just got it in two weeks ago. This one is similar, and if you want it, grab it now. They go fast. (See the rest of the outfit here.)

eleven // I have several favorite Victoria Emerson boho cuffs of all the ones I’ve styled over the years, but this one is definitely the one I’m reaching for the most these days. (See the rest of this outfit here.)

twelve // I’ve wanted to switch to natural deodorant for a long time, so I ordered these three, and I’m pretty happy with all of them. The one from Free Reign Farm smells the best, but it seems to dry out when I don’t use it regularly. They all go on without feeling wet or icky, and they all three work.

Hey Humans is the most affordable, and but my least favorite as far as the scent. I’ve been using them all interchangeably, but when they run out, I think I’ll probably purchase the Native again.

thirteen // I’m so excited about these mules. I tried a bunch, and they are by far and away the most comfortable and easy to walk in. They’re really soft and cushioned inside, and even have a bit of that UGG sheepskin lining on the footbed. They run small, though. Size up! I needed the 9. (Also wearing these Mother Insiders.)

fourteen // This is a great little casual top for this early fall weather we’re having here on the East coast. Love this copper brown, but it also comes in a bunch of other options, and it runs TTS. I’m also wearing the ruched flats (featured above) and these GAP high rise vintage slim jeans (TTS).

fifteen // I’ve recently switched to this foundation, and I really like the coverage. It feels a little thick and dry when I apply it (at least compared to the La Mer foundation I was using before) but it never leaves my skin looking or feeling dry once I have applied it. I use the BK Beauty contoured foundation brush to apply.

  1. Ordered the earrings! I was looking for something like them. I wanted to try the Tarte mascara but it only comes in black. My lashes are brownish-red and black looks too harsh for every day. Maybe they’ll add a brown at some point. Happy Tuesday!

  2. I read somewhere to use an eye dropper to add a drop of rubbing alcohol to drying out mascara and mix with the wand. It works great!

  3. I just ordered the striped poncho from Loft! And I already have the earrings from Amazon. We contemplated buying the pot as our joint Christmas gift, but haven’t pushed the button yet. I hope that Paul’s recovery is going well and that it won’t be long until he is back at his normal activity level. Have a great day!

  4. I want to try the mascara. The CLEAN one I use is expensive. I think with all CLEAN ones, they tend to dry out some over time. I know I use my mascara way longer than recommended, so maybe drying out earlier is a good thing. LOL

  5. I ordered the Ugg clogs after you first featured them, and I ordered my true size plus a full size up. In my case, my true size fit great, so I recommend others grab both sizes to try in case they sell out as everything seems to these days. I also got the Kut moto jacket in the Purple Haze, which is really more of a warm charcoal. There were a TON of them in all sizes when I stopped by Nordstrom last weekend, but they seem to have just about sold out online 🙁

  6. What eye liner are you wearing in the picture for the tarte mascara? It’s really pretty and kind of looks like a gunmetal color. Thanks!

  7. I ordered the faus suede jacket the first day you featured it, and I’m glad I didn’twait!Could you please tell me where the sleeves should fall on a jacket? They seem really long on this one, but maybe I just need a smaller size. I look forward to seeing your posts each day!

  8. I purchased the earrings that you featured in this post. They are very lightweight, and really cute!
I’ve also started using the Tarte mascara and Foundcealer foundation. I was going to post about it on your Facebook page. They are both SO good!! I’ve seriously had two friends ask me if I’d gotten lash extensions when they saw me wearing the mascara. The Foundcealer is absolutely amazing for my dry skin. I’ve used many foundations over the years, and this one is the best!! I use a Beauty Blender sponge to apply, and it covers my skin so beautifully. I don’t even need to wear concealer with it. I’m a fan for life!
I think I’ll still post about my experience with both products on your Facebook page if that’s okay.

  9. I’ve been super impressed with tarte cosmetics. My fave mascara from them is the sugar rush lash smoothie. The foldable mouse looks neat!

  10. Do you use primer before mascara?
Looking to try tarte mascara. Any suggestions on primer? I’ve never used primer in the past, and could use some guidance.
    Thanks
