Good morning! We have a beautiful view of downtown Nashville from our hotel room window, and I’m watching the sun rise over the office buildings as I write this post. It’s such a pretty city.
Cyndi and I have had a great time together.
We’ve done lots of talking, lots of shopping, lots of laughing, and a little bit of working… just the way it should be, yes??
It seems like we just got here, but we’ll be saying good-bye in just a few short hours. Fortunately we can look forward to seeing each other again in April. We’re both going back to the rewardStyle conference this year. It’s hosted by the affiliate network we do a lot of work with, and it’s a great time of learning and networking and, yes, some partying. They throw some really amazing events, and it’s fun to get out of my little suburban world for a little bit and live it up for a few days, so we’re looking forward to that.
My favorite part of this weekend (aside from being with Cyndi, of course!) has been working with two different professional photographers. It was a lot of fun and interesting to see what they do differently than we do.
I love that my husband takes my outfit pictures for the blog, and it’s been a great opportunity for us to bond as a couple. Plus, it’s just incredibly convenient. He does a great job, and I have no desire to replace him (ha!) but I do think it would be good for me to try to work with another professional photographer every once in a while to get new ideas and a different perspective. I can’t wait to get the pictures back from this trip. I’m dying to see how they turn out.
This morning we’re busy organizing and packing up, so I better get a move on. As much as I enjoy hanging out in the Nashville airport (seriously, it is the coolest airport!), I don’t want to miss my plane.
Have a great Sunday!

That’s an interesting perspective, Jo-Lynne. So what did the professional photographer do differently than you guys usually do?
She moved around a lot and took a lot more pictures than we usually do. And we thought we took a lot!
Thanks Jo-Lynne!! That’s good to know, because my husband will do that….but then I get impatient and just want to be done!! 🙂
I am so glad that you had a wonderful time with Cyndi. I always treasure my girlfriends time????????You two are my favorite bloggers. Can’t wait to see all the photos! Have a blessed Sunday! Safe travels????
Sounds like you had a great time and it will be fun for us all to see your pictures and hear about the trip. You two are the only 2 bloggers I follow and I just found you 2 last Spring. I didn’t know what I was missing. 🙂 Its fun to open up my email each morning and have one from you and Cyndi. Blessings for a great week ahead.
I was in Nashville for mid-winter break (from Michigan) this weekend. I had my eye out for you and Cyndi hoping to bump into you…ha! That would have made my day!
So glad to see you gals together again even though I am a little late to the party. I wish, wish, wish my Prince and I could bond over taking pictures of me. He was raised very conservatively in a Baptist home and looks upon my dressing up and wanting pictures taken as me being kind of vain. Ha! When he is feeling cooperative or less conservative Baptist, he takes the pictures so quickly (before his mood changes again) and they are blurred. Do you loan out your hubby for pics?
See, now, I am the one who was raised conservatively in a Baptist home, and I’m the one who struggle with this whole endeavor feeling very vain and self-absorbed at times. My husband tells me to get over it, haha!
