Save Big On Winter Essentials & Gift Ideas

** This post is sponsored by Banana Republic Factory and ShopStyle.

I’m always curious to hear about everyone’s holiday gifting traditions. We always have a mix of fun and practical gifts under the Christmas tree, how about you?

I love to gift fun tech toys and fashion accessories my recipients wouldn’t buy for themselves, but Christmas is also a great time to update their winter clothing essentials. I recently re-discovered Banana Republic Factory, and they have some really nice stocking stuffers and gifting items at great prices for both men and women.

And by great price points, I’m talking savings of up to 60% off plus an extra 15% off and free shipping with code FREESHIP. That’s even better than their Cyber Monday sale! Also, don’t miss their Style Steals starting at $14.99.

We have a Banana Republic Factory at a nearby outlet mall, and I used to shop there a lot for both Paul and me. Since I started doing more of my shopping online, they sort of fell off my radar, so I was excited to see that they now have a robust website!

I started out putting things in my cart for Paul, and then I came up with a few things to add to my own holiday wish list. Here’s what I found.

Winter Clothing Essentials for Women

Check out the wide range of women’s sizes (from XXS to XXL) and all the petite options!

#1. Brushed Marled Cardigan // This cozy v-neck cardigan in the marled knit pairs well with jeans, or you can wear it over a dress for work. But I especially love it paired with these brushed marled joggers for a luxe loungewear look. The fabric is 72% rayon, 22% polyester, 6% spandex — so no wool, for those who can’t tolerate it.

#2. Brushed Marled Ribbed Jogger // These look like the next best thing to cashmere joggers, and you cannot beat this price. They’re also available in petite sizes!

#3. Cozy Oversized Turtleneck Sweater // This chunky turtleneck is the first item that caught my eye when I clicked over to the Banana Republic Factory website. I love that contrasting ribbed turtleneck and hem detail. It’s also available in petite, and also, no wool content!

#4. Mock-Neck Cable Sweater // This one is similar but a little more elevated with the mock neck and cable knit pattern. The cotton/nylon blend is breathable and soft, and it has a straight hem with side slits.

#5. Plaid Scarf // Love this festive red plaid!

#6. Leopard Print Trouser Socks // Trouser socks with a fun leopard print make a great stocking stuffer.

#7. Cozy Mock-Neck Sweatshirt // More and more, I find myself reaching elevated sweatshirts for my super casual lifestyle these days. This one has a cozy mock neck and kangaroo pocket.

#8. Cozy Ribbed Sweater Hoodie // You all know how much I love a cashmere sweater hoodie, but this one has no wool for those who can’t tolerate it. I really like the ribbed knit, and the ivory is so pretty for winter.

Winter Essentials for Men

#9. Burgundy Boarder Scarf // Paul wears a lot of scarves in the winter, so I usually gift him a new one for Christmas. This one has a subtle stripe border in a beautiful combination of burgundy and grey.

#10. Leather Roller-Buckle Casual Belt // What guy can’t use a new belt? Since most wear one daily, they tend to get beat up over the course of year. This modern classic is made of smooth, thick-cut leather with a roller buckle.

#11. Brown Navy Traditional Plaid Scarf // Another men’s scarf option, this one in a handsome brown and navy plaid.

#12. Bluelight Fashion Glasses // Blue light filtering lenses absorb the blue light glare that causes digital eye strain. These are a great gift for any guy who does a lot of computer work (or gaming.)

#13. Button Mock-Neck Sweater // This classic sweater in a casual Henley style is perfect for weekend wear or casual office settings. It comes in sizes XS to XXL.

#14. Fleece Popover Hoodie // An elevated hoodie with a cozy brushed interior that’s perfect for layering this winter. This one is also available in tall sizes.

#15. Slim-Fit Untucked Lightweight Flannel // And finally, a slim-fit flannel that’s designed with a shorter hemline to hit right at the hips. This one comes in a slew of plaid color ways, and it’s available in tall sizes as well.

  1. I’m very excited about this post! I used to shop at BR Factory all the time before kids, it was my entertainment, lol. I’ve bought many things for my husband over the years. The men’s clothing and accessories you highlight are perfect and I’m already populating a cart. Unfortunately almost all the belts are backordered until February and that’s exactly what my husband and son need. Oh well, to be expected with the supply issues.

  2. Great post & always good to find a new place to shop-with great prices to boot! You & Cyndi have the same blog content today! Ha! 😉

  3. I love BR factory I am fortunate to have one 5 minutes from my house so they get a lot of my money! This post definitely highlighted some things I need to add to my cart! Also as someone who is petite I find they have a great selection which isn’t always the case.

  4. I love BR Factory’s lightweight sweaters. They come in crew neck and v-neck. They are a large part of my rotation in fall and spring. They are so flattering and wash really well.

  5. I use to shop at this place all the time but the closest was outlet mall 1 1/2 hrs away. Has been off my radar for awhile too. Funny you and Cyndi featured same thing. :). Great finds.

  6. Did you order the oversized turtleneck by chance? Would love to know how it’s sized. It looks oversized but site says runs small. Would love to see on you. I’d like any of the colors but thinking about the camel. :). I haven’t worn banana republic for so long not sure if XS or small. I take XS in Loft and Nordtrom. Such a great price for sure.
