Zuvi Halo: The New Hair Dryer Everyone Is Talking About

** This post is sponsored by Zuvi.

We’re taking a break from fashion today to talk about hair… specifically the Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer. If you have fine, thin, damaged, or aging hair, you’re not going to want to miss this post.

Also, keep reading for a special discount code that you can stack on top of their Black Friday Sale price for their best deal of the year!

You may look at my hair and think it’s stick-straight, but it’s not. It’s frizzy and thinning and generally a pain in my neck.

Just like with my closet, I’ve learned investing in quality haircare tools and products can make all the difference, so when I started hearing rave reviews about the Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer, I knew I had to try it and share my experience with you.

What I Love About Zuvi Halo and How It Works

The Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer is a new hair dryer that uses a patented LightCare™ technology that’s designed to mimic the experience of drying your hair naturally outside in the sun and wind. Because it uses light instead of extreme heat, the Zuvi dries the surface of your hair while retaining moisture within the hair shaft, which makes for a gentler hair drying experience and overall healthier hair.

I already take good care of my hair, but as I get older, and my hair gets thinner and more fragile, I’m always looking for new tools and products to keep it strong and healthy. I not only use my hair dryer to dry my hair, but I also use it for styling, so the less heat I can use, the better off I’ll be. That’s where the Zuvi comes in.

I’ve shared before that I wear extensions for extra volume, but the hair on top is mine, and it tends to be thin and dry and brittle and highly susceptible to heat damage. Since I’ve started using the Zuvi, I’ve noticed that it’s looks more shiny and healthy and holds onto my hair color better. Plus, I love how soft my hair feels after drying it with the Zuvi.

It has won multiple beauty and industry awards, including Allure’s Best of Beauty Award 2022 and TIME Best Inventions 2022, and I can see why. It’s truly unique and unlike any other hair dryer on the market today.

Unique Features of the Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer

The Zuvi comes with three attachments that attach magnetically: a diffuser to reduce frizz, a styling concentrator to help shape and style your hair, and a gentle air attachment to create an even cooler airflow for those with extra fragile locks.

But the thing that really sets the Zuvi apart from other hair dryers is the four different settings. Each setting provides a little bit of a different experience:

  • CARE uses a smart sensor to control the level of wind and heat to protect your hair.
  • FAST is the strongest and quickest drying option.
  • STYLE is for straightening or curling your hair with the Styling Concentrator or Diffuser (both included).
  • SOFT is the best setting for a sensitive scalp and is most gentle on your hair.

I like to start out using the FAST setting because I have extensions, and my hair takes a while to dry, despite being quite thin on its own.

As it gets going, the green aurora light comes on, giving it a fun futuristic appeal. In fact, overall it’s a very modern looking and attractive hair dryer. I love the sleek, minimalist design and clean silver and white color palette.

Once I get the bulk of the moisture out, I add the Styling Concentrator and switch to the STYLE setting to finish my blowout.

Another thing that makes the Zuvi unique is how it maintains a temperature of 111℉/44℃, so doesn’t overheat your hair and/or scalp like a typical hairdryer. Because fine hair like mine is more susceptible to heat damage, this is a huge benefit.

When you consider that a normal hair dryer can get up to 140℉/70℃, it’s no surprise that my scalp sometimes feels like it’s burning when I’m drying my hair with other hairdryers!

Extreme heat can also fade your hair color, and the Zuvi locks in hair color for 57% longer with its LightCare™ technology. This is definitely an added perk, as I like to keep my hair dark, and it doesn’t look as healthy when my color starts to fade.

Finally, the Zuvi Halo Hair Dryer comes with a 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee plus a 2-Year Warranty, so you have plenty of time to try out the hair dryer and see if it works for your hair. If you love and keep it, you have a two-year warranty and lifetime customer support.

Plus, purchases made within November can enjoy an extended return period and return up until January 15th, 2024.

This is a great time to give the Zuvi a try because it’s currently 25% off during their Black Friday sale. Plus, you can stack my code Jo5 for an extra 5% off. That’s a total savings of 30%, which is their best deal of the year!

Please let me know if you order one. I’d love to know how it works for you.

  1. Good morning!
Thanks for trying this out and giving us a report.
Can you tell yet if you would prefer it over the Dyson?
I haven’t bought a Dyson, but I always think about them around Christmas for the last three years! 😀

    1. I’m not Jo-Lynne, but I have a newer Dyson and am not thrilled with it. I have to use the cool shot every 20 seconds for about 10 seconds to keep it from over heating and shutting down for 10 minutes. When I forget and am in a rush, it’s very inconvenient. Otherwise, it is a really nice blow dryer! I did a google search to see if I had a faulty one. It sounds like this is everyone’s fix. I ordered the Zuvi! Might be selling the Dyson on eBay!

  2. I tried this out with all the hype around it. I have fine, way hair. It was a complete fail. Not enough heat to get the waves to straighten or the frizz to calm down. Might work better for those with straight hair.

    1. I am having the same problem with it. I am going to keep working with it for a while, but my first impression has not been great – I feel like I have to use my flat iron even more than before to minimize the frizziness. 🙁

  3. This sounds exactly like what I need. The whole perimenopause has completely changed my hair. Hard to break down and spend that much on myself though. Yikes, it certainly is an investment.

  4. Perfect timing! My Dyson gave out (after a good 4 years! Not bad!) but I really didn’t want to spend that amount again! Thank you for the extra code – I went ahead and purchased one! Merry Christmas to me! Love that the Black Friday sales are coming early! You have never steered me wrong yet! xoxo

      1. This sounds like a great replacement for my current hairdryer! Jolynne, would you mind sharing your hair color? It is such a beautiful rich chocolate brown! I’d love to direct my hairstylist to this shade. Thanks so much.

  5. I’m intrigued especially since my Dyson hair dryer is starting to just cut off for no reason, (I think it must be a wire loose somewhere in the housing). I can’t seem to find a picture on their website of the full cord for this dryer, is it heavy with the big gray box on the cord like the Dyson?

    1. Mine was doing that too; I think it’s a common issue. I have to work hard not to touch the on/off button. The Zuvi does not have the big grey box on the cord. The cord is pretty lightweight.

  6. The lowest price version is without the diffuser. I have fine straight hair – do I need the diffuser? Isn’t that attachment for curly hair?

  7. Hi Jolynne! I have been following you for a long time but don’t usually comment. I did just buy the Zuvi hair dryer and used your code. Thanks for the code! Right now, I have a T3 hair dryer that I have never really liked. My hair always gets sucked into the back of the hair dryer. It gets too hot also. Anxious to get this new hair dryer. I have thin, fine hair and as I get older, I seem to be losing more. Wonderful. 😳. Thanks again for the code!

  8. I have used a Zuvi hair dryer for several months now. I definitely see an improvement in the condition of my fine, thinning hair. I love how it doesn’t get as hot as my old blow dryer did, my hair feels softer and looks shinier.

  9. I have thin fine wavy hair. I’ve been using the Zuvi for about a year and I love it! The condition of my hair has definitely improved.

  10. I just ordered one! I have problems with my hair color fading between visits so I’m excited to see if this blow dryer will help with that. Thanks for the discount code!

  11. Great post! Just ordered and am excited to test it out. I have naturally curly hair so this will be interesting.

For yourself and others that complain about thinning hair as we age, I started using these supplements a few years ago and it really works: https://www.viviscal.com/. You can buy them at Walmart, Ulta, Walgreens, Amazon, etc.

  12. Thanks! I’ve never heard of this one! I’m definitely noticing that my fine hair is more fragile now, and it’s no longer smooth or shiny. Will you do a post on the hair products you use–masks, etc.? You mentioned that you already take good care of your hair. What do you do? I’ve just been shampooing and conditioning in the shower, so I need to learn and up my game!
