Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day is just a couple weeks away, so I rounded up some fun gifts in case you’re shopping for someone special and need some fresh ideas. These are all products I have and love, and there should be something in here for almost everyone you might want to honor this Mother’s Day.

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

one (also at Nordstrom) // The Our Place Always Pan has taken the Insta world by storm, and there’s good reason for that. You can use it for sautéing, steaming, boiling, or frying; and nothing sticks to the non-toxic, non-stick ceramic coated surface. Whenever anyone stays at our house, they end up going home and ordering one of these pans.

It has an easy-pour spout for minimal dripping; a modular lid that lets off steam when you want it to, or lock it when you don’t; a cast aluminum core for even heat distribution (and it works on my conduction cooktop); a stainless steel steamer basket that fits inside; a wooden spatula that nests into the handle and eliminates the need for a spoon rest; and a stay-cool handle and knob. All that, AND it comes in four beautiful colors. I have the Spice, but I love that pretty blue. Oh, and it’s currently marked down to $115 (from $145)! Use code GOODTASTE30 if purchasing from the Our Place website; no code needed at Nordstrom.

I did not receive this pan for review; I bought my own when I saw others talking about it, and it really is worth the hype. My only caveat is that it is rather small for a do-it-all pan. I hope they come out with a bigger version.

two // Treat her to the the #1 British luxury skincare brand. Elemis has so many products that I love, I had a hard time choosing just one, but their Pro-Collagen Marine Cream is definitely at the top of my list, and it would make a lovely gift for any woman who appreciates luxury skincare products.

The Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm is another great choice, and I also like and recommend their Dynamic Resurfacing Pads and the Pro-Collagen Eye Revive Mask.

And don’t forget about the Peptide4 Night Recovery Cream Oil & Plumping Pillow Facial, available at QVC for only $84! (They’re $174 if sold separately.)

three // This is definitely a gift I would only give if I knew the person really wanted one because it does require five minutes every morning, but if you know someone who has been talking about wanting to try the NuFACE, it’s currently on sale at QVC with a year supply of gels. You can read more about it in THIS POST.

four // This Ui mug & warmer set comes with a special charger that heats up the bottom of the mug, keeping your morning coffee nice and warm — but that’s not all. The warming base also works as a wireless cellphone charger! Such a cool idea.

five // This luxurious candle makes an elegant presentation, and it smells wonderful. I’ve been burning it almost every day. It’s made in the USA of coconut wax and essential oils; and it’s paraben-free, phthalate-free, and sulfate-free.

six // You can never go wrong with Soma Cool Nights pajamas, and right now they have a bunch of their pajama sets marked down to $49. I just picked up this one called Under The Sea — so cute for summer.

seven // Kendra Scott makes some of my favorite jewelry, and this Mom pendant necklace would make a lovely gift for a first-time mom… or any mom, really.

The Fern multi-strand bracelet is perfect for women who like their jewelry small and dainty.

eight // The Candice Cuff is one of my all-time favorite pieces of Kendra Scott jewelry. It is large enough to make a statement, but the filigree pattern keeps it feminine. I have the mixed metal version, so I can wear it with other gold or silver pieces, making it extra versatile.

nine // These Simon drop earrings are my go-to for dressier looks when I want an earring that is feminine but large enough to carry some visual weight. They’re lightweight and easy to wear all day.

I love the idea of putting together a beach bag full of fun goodies to be enjoyed at the beach or pool. This gift definitely adds up if you put it all together, but any one of these pieces makes a nice stand-alone gift, or you can make up a combination that works for the recipient and your budget.

ten // I have a bunch of these Swell water bottles, and I take one filled with water almost everywhere I go. I particularly like this white one from their Black Diamond collection — the grooved pattern adds an element of  sophistication to this BPA-free, vacuum-insulated water bottle. These also make nice teacher gifts.

eleven // Coola makes my favorite nonaerosol spray sunscreens. They smell divine, and in addition to the necessary SPF, they contain antioxidants that nourish and hydrate your skin. Coola products are made in the USA; and they’re free of sulfates, phthalates, parabens, mineral oil, silicone, talc, and synthetic fragrances.

twelve // Every time I wear these Gucci cat eye sunglasses, I get questions about them. They really are stunning and a classic pair I’ll have for years. They would make a luxurious gift for a special mom, or if they’re out of budget, DIFF makes a similar style for under $100.

thirteen (also at Nordstrom) // Everyone is talking about these this spring. If you want the comfort of a Birkenstock with an elevated aesthetic, the Tory Burch Miller Cloud sandal is for you… or, ahem, your mom.

If you don’t care for the new style, the original Millers are another great gift idea. My sand patent Millers are five years old, and I’ve worn them everywhere from the beach to the nail salon, and they still look like new.

fourteen // I recently received a Tesalate sand-free towel for review purposes, and it is AMAZING. I am getting one of these for everyone I know. They’re super absorbent, they dry quickly, and they fold up to almost nothing in your beach bag. Best of all, they don’t hold onto sand, so you don’t end up bringing the beach home with you. These towels come in tons of different colors and patterns, and they are as pretty as they are functional.

fifteen // Of course, you’ll need a cute straw tote if you want to put together this beach or pool gift collection. I love this one with the puffed tassels dangling from the handle. It folds up flat in your suitcase for travel, and it’s fully lined with interior zip and slip pockets and a magnetic-snap closure, so it can double as a purse when you need it to. The straps are a comfortable length, and they’re nice and soft so they stay in place without digging into your shoulder.

I hope this gives you some fresh Mother’s Day gift ideas! When in doubt, fresh flowers or a potted plant is always appreciated. In fact, they are often my go-to, but if you want a more personalized gift, hopefully one of these ideas works for you.

  1. I love your suggestion of put-together or stand-alone or paired gifts! I love the beach theme that could be used for anyone.

  2. Thanks for the review of the Our Place pan. I have seen it all over but didn’t want to bite the bullet for something that is not worth it. But that you didn’t receive it for review yet STILL love it was the review that I needed. Hopefully I will get it for Mother’s Day for me.

  3. I ordered the Tesalate towel after seeing yours, Jo-Lynne. I love it! I don’t spend much time at the beach these days, but I swim at the Y 3 days a week and it takes up so much less room in my swim bag than a terry towel. And I’m amazed how easily you can dry off with it. I chuckled about the old-style Millers mine are probably 5 years old, too. Mine are patent though and I stopped wearing them for pedicures because they’re too slippery with all of the lotion and I was afraid I was going to take a nosedive in them. Happy Monday!!

  4. Some great and unique ideas! Love the beach bag of goodies idea. I’ve ordered the beach towel so far and am deciding what else to add.

  5. Quick Questions: Is Elemis a “clean” beauty product? Your link for it goes to Amazon but I’ve always been hesitant to buy beauty products from them as I’ve heard they sell a lot of fakes. Do you always buy it from Amazon? How long have you been using it? Is it a “game changer” worth the cost? I’m a Dermalogica user for most of my “stuff” but willing to try new things depending on the benefits.

    1. “Clean” is a relative term when it comes to beauty products, but Elemis is known for being in that category. I linked to Amazon b/c it’s cheaper there right now. I don’t think any skincare product is a game changer, to be honest. They can only do so much, but I do really enjoy these products.

  6. I also purchased the Our Place pan a couple months ago and absolutely love it! It is totally worth the price. I use this pan just about every day. I’m now buying it as wedding gifts for all the family weddings happening this year.

    1. Great gift ideas but I don’t get too excited about gifts on Mother’s Day, I just want to spend time with my family, maybe a nice lunch or dinner and a break from cooking 😊
