Re-Entry. #CoffeeTalk

Home, sweet home! There’s nothing quite like waking up in one’s own bed after being away. Yesterday’s trip home was gloriously uneventful, which is of course the best you can hope for when traveling across the country. I had a window seat and I spent half the trip gazing out the window. It was a clear day, and I could see the land below the clouds most of the trip.

That’s Seattle in the upper left quadrant of this picture. I could make it out from the plane but by the time I’d grabbed my phone, it was getting fuzzy.

I took advantage of in-flight WiFi for the first time ever, and is THAT ever a glorious experience!! Our ghetto plane didn’t even show a movie on the 5-hour flight so I really needed a diversion. Unfortunately my laptop didn’t have enough charge to carry me home but I had a book on my Kindle that took up the rest of the time. The guy beside me slept, which suited me just fine. As outgoing as I may be, the last thing I want to do on an airplane is make new friends.

I managed to get everything in my suitcase except for my new boots, which I carried in their shopping bag and stashed in the overhead bin during my flight. They got quite the conversation going in the airport parking shuttle which was full taking us back to our cars.

When I got home, the house was pristine and everyone was excited to see me. You can’t ask for more than that!

And so today begins the countdown to my trip to Costa Rica, which, as I discovered yesterday when confirming my flight information, requires me to leave my house at about 3:30 AM to get to the airport for a 6:00 AM flight.

HOLD ME!!!!!

This is gonna be a bit rough.

My only comfort is that once I GET to Costa Rica, I will be in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been in my life, and I hopefully can find some time for rest and relaxation amidst all the fun stuff they have planned for us. PLUS I’m rooming with my dear friend Mel, who had the nerve to up and move 6 hours away last summer. We chat all the time on text and Facebook, but nothing’s like hanging out in real life for 5 days and I cannot wait.

There are a ton of other fabulous ladies I can’t wait to see like Tracy, Danielle, Nina, Ciaran, Alison, Valerie and Jyl… and of course our fabulous hosts, Nadia and Andrea! If you’re curious about who I’ll be hanging with, they are all listed on the Attendees page at RoarRetreat.com.

I made my packing and to-do lists on the plane yesterday, and I’m up to the challenge! Let’s do this!!
