Top 10 in March 2021

At the beginning of a new month, I like to take a look back at the previous month’s stats and see what products and posts were the most popular, so today I’m sharing my Top Ten in March 2021!

Top 10 Posts in March 2021

Based on Google Analytics, these were the 10 most popular blog posts that I published last month. These posts are listed in typical Top Ten order, with the most popular one last.

10. Weekend Ready

I love this look, it’s perfectly springtime. The crisp red/white stripe hoodie is fitted without being clingy, which shows my shape, and the straight crop distressed jeans in a clean white wash are fresh and summery. Then the brown wedge Sorel sandals and tan straw bag offer a pleasing contrast against the cool red and white tones.

#9. A Modern Sweater Twin Set Outfit

This work wear looks features an elevated sweater shirt jacket over sweater tank for a modern twinset. I paired them with skinny pants and and added conservative pumps for a chic work wear look. This is also something I could wear to church or to a blogging conference or event sometime… whenever those start happening again!

#8. Beige Shacket Outfit with Veja Sneakers

And this is another neutral outfit featuring a shirt jacket — but a much more casual, urban vibe. I paired the Abercrombie faux suede shirt jacket with a crisp white tee on top, and I wore slim straight ankle jeans with my white leather Vejas on the bottom for a cool street style outfit.

#7. Sandal Season is {Almost} Here!

This post was a collaboration with Nordstrom, and I featured 5 big sandal trends for spring, and showed ways to wear them. I kept my outfits simple, so the sandals could really be the feature, but I actually love each of the outfits I created for this post. They’re all variations on my go-to casual spring uniform — jeans and a t-shirt.

#6. Must-Have Utility Shirt Jacket for Spring

This outfit was part of the sandals post, and I liked it so much, I decided to do a dedicated post for it. Every single piece in this outfit is a must-have wardrobe staple that I’m wearing on repeat this spring. They all work well together, but they can be mixed and matched to add value and versatility to my wardrobe.

#5. Spring Outfit Formula with a Patterned Blouse

This is my go-to spring outfit for occasions that require more of a business casual dress code — white jeans with a printed blouse, topped off with a denim jacket. Loafers, ballet flats, or mules complete the look and keep it work-appropriate. Or I will swap out the mules for heels and call it date night.

I particularly like the dolman top in this look, and I guess you guys do too because it’s one of the top sellers this month. I also have the solid olive. (Don’t let the word “dolman” scare you away — it does not have deep armholes. Dolman technically means a sleeve made from the same piece of fabric as the bodice.)

#4. Spring Boyfriend Jeans Outfit with Clogs

Spring Boyfriend Jeans Outfit with Clogs

This is a quintessential casual spring outfit, if I ever saw one — lightweight sweater in a modern star print, light wash boyfriend jeans, and basketweave clogs in the perfect shade of tan. I love the color palette of this look, and each piece is one I’ve worn several different ways with other items in my closet, making them all super versatile.

#3. Green Bomber Jacket Outfit | 23 Days of Spring Fashion

This is the post that launched 23 Days of Spring Fashion! This is such a fun, casual look for early spring. Each piece is high quality and has unique details that elevate them beyond a simple closet basic. And again, each of these pieces can be mixed and matched with other items in my closet to make different looks, which helps lower the cost per wear.

#2. How to Wear an Oversized Button-Up Shirt

This look was a step outside of my comfort zone, but I actually love it and can’t wait to wear it. I guess you all liked it too, since it came in 2nd place last month! I was drawn to this pinstriped tunic shirt because it plays to the current oversized trend, but it has a slimmer silhouette than most.

#1. 2021 Spring Fashion Try-On Haul

And I guess it shouldn’t come as any surprise that my only Try-On Haul of the month ranked in first place! These are always popular.

I wanted to have one for tomorrow, but I realized once I got down here that I never finished editing pictures for that. I’m not even sure where they are. I may have deleted them from Photos after moving them to Lightroom on my desktop computer at home… in which case, I can’t access them even if I wanted to. I’ll see what I can find.

Meanwhile, let’s move on to popular products…

Top 10 Products in March 2021

These were the 10 most popular products across my blog and social channels last month. They’re listed in typical Top Ten order, with the most popular one last.

#10. Free People Camo Clare Tee

I was so excited to see this popular t-shirt from last year brought back, and they added this new color way. SO cute! This tee runs true to size; I have the small.

#9. Old Navy Waist-Defined Tie-Dye Stripe Midi Dress

This is such a great play on a t-shirt dress, with the figure-flattering elasticized waist and modern midi-length. Plus, the crisp blue and white tie dye stripe pattern is right on trend. This dress runs true to size; I’m in the small.

#8. Old Navy Rib-Knit Button-Front Shift Dress

Another easy throw-on-and go casual dress from Old Navy, this one has a ribbed texture with a v-neck and button-up front for added interest. I’m 5’5″, and it’s a couple inches above the knee, so I like to wear slipshorts underneath. Once again, this dress is true to size. I have the small.

#7. tarte Shape Tape Ultra Creamy Concealer

If you didn’t try the new tarte Shape Tape Ultra-Creamy Concealer yet, the JOLYNNE15 code for 15% off still works. This concealer is great at covering any dark circles under my eyes, as well as the veins in the corners by the bridge of my nose. And because it’s designed especially for dry or mature skin, it blends in easily and doesn’t dry out my under-eye area.

#6. Banana Republic Dolman Top

This is that dolman top in the olive that I referred to above. It’s currently 40% off + extra 10% off applied at checkout, and it runs true to size. I have the small in both the solid olive and the navy floral — unfortunately, they’re low inventory, but it comes in other colors as well.

#5. Banana Republic Cotton-Hemp Long Cardigan

This lightweight cardigan in the breathable cotton-hemp blend is the perfect outfit completer for spring. I love the boyfriend cardigan design with the deep v-neck — it’s more flattering on those of us with a larger chest. It’s also 40% off + extra 10% off applied at checkout, and it runs true to size.

#4. Twist Detail T-Shirt

This super soft tee with the twist detail at the neck and cuffed short sleeves is another great elevated t-shirt option for spring and summer. It layers easily under a bomber or utility jacket, but it’s also cute worn along with shorts or jeans. It runs a bit big, but I still have my usual small.

#3. Kut from the Kloth Utility Shirt Jacket (more sizes at Zappo’s)

This utility jacket is made of a lightweight modal fabric, and I absolutely love the styling. It’s a nice update to the longer utility jackets that were trending for the past few years. It also comes in olive and white, and it’s true to size.

#2. Caslon Knit Hoodie

This stripe hoodie has made both sections as well! Unfortunately, it is low inventory, and I don’t expect to see them restock since it’s more spring than summer — although I plan to wear mine with shorts this summer!

And the winner is… DRUMROLL PLEASE!!! 🥁

#1. Daily Ritual Girlfriend Jeans

These jeans are remarkably good for the price point — under $40!!! They’re soft and comfortable, but they hold their shape, and the slim straight fit is on trend without looking teeny-bopper… ifyouknowwhatImean.

And that’s a wrap! I always like to ask, which posts from March were your favorites, and did you score any of these Top Ten products?

I checked, and I do not have the pictures I need to put a Try-On Haul together for tomorrow, so I’m going to take tomorrow off from posting so I can enjoy my vacation. But I’ll be back next week with my 2021 Swimsuit Guide, what I packed for Florida, some spring activewear inspiration, and more!

  1. GOOD MORNING! I HOPE YOUR’RE ENJOYING YOUR VACAY SO FAR! QUICK QUESTION- WHAT COLOR DO YOU HAVE IN THE AMAZON DAILY RITUAL JEANS? (NOT SURE WHY THIS IS IN ALL CAPS…. I PROMISE I’M NOT TRYING TO SCREAM! 🙂 )

    1. It’s the bleach wash. Sorry about the all caps thing – that was happening to a lot of people after my blog redesign, but I thought it was fixed. Maybe clear your cache? That should fix it.

      1. thank you! i’ll clearing my cache. also, just fyi, i cannot see the comments…. i had to click “leave a comment” in order to see them…. weird?!?! (still not screaming…. 🙂 )

  2. Love the recap of most popular. Enjoy your beach day with seafood lunch. Yes….. for sure take time off to enjoy your vacation. I’m always surprised you and Cyndi blog on your vacations. 🙂 One ? for later. Can you post the vacation house tour to your blog for those of us who don’t have IG for stories? No hurry. Thanks. I’d love to see it.

  3. Great post! I bought the Daily Ritual jeans and I agree that they’re soft and look really good. Unfortunately, even though you and I are the same weight, height, and clothing size, they don’t look the same on me at all! My legs are thicker than yours, so these jeans look pretty ‘skinny’ to the knees and then ‘flare’ at the bottom, sadly. Just too much flare on me and not ‘straight’. *But*, I also tried the straight crop Levi’s from an earlier post, and they work perfectly for me! They look straight and not flare, so score! 😊

    1. Oh, I forgot! I also got the ON blue/white stripe dress and the black one too! I’m still waiting on the black one to arrive though.

  4. I’m glad that you are taking tomorrow off, Jo-Lynne. Work and your readers always will be here. Enjoy the sun and warmth while you have it.

  5. I wish I looked good in stripes – you look so cute in that Caslon hoodie! Enjoy your vacation and Happy Easter! 🐣🐰 I’m enjoying our So Cal breezy 78 degree weather right now and plan to have a few beach days next week…..Spring Break here I come! 😍

  6. PS Going to order the black utility jacket now. I keep going back to it and its calling my name. LOL
